by Violetta Rand
Every once in a while you come across an author that has a complex, creative style of story telling. The kind of book, that keeps you on the edge of your seat, holding your breath. An author who creates that one character you want to smack, but end up loving.
Violetta Rand is such a story teller and Ramsey De Wolfe is such a man. Ten generations of the De Wolfe men have served as officers of the law in Opposition City, Kentucky. The De Wolfe family is the who's who in town and all the ladies want to catch and keep the very sexy Ramsey De Wolfe.
He puts a player to shame with the games he plays and the women just keep falling for it. He meets a beautiful woman at his favorite club. She is on stage singing, seducing Ramsey with the sultry sounds of her voice and no other woman in the club can distract this predator. He has his sights set and is ready to claim his prey.
Madison knows very well who is watching her, she has an interest in knowing all she can about the De Wolfe family and she has Ramsey De Wolfe in her sights. Ramsey and Madison both have a goal in mind for one another, but will the players continue to play, or has the Wolfe found his mate.
Through mystery and intrigue and sexy interludes, author Violetta Rand completely captivates her readers in this thrilling story. I wanted to climb into the book and slap Ramsey and say "yes" to him simultaneously. Violetta really draws you into the story and takes you on a wild ride with her characters. She has created fascinating backstories and suspenseful moments of what will happen next, making this one exhilarating ride. An absolute must read. It will take your breath away and leave you longing for more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This beautiful short story has an intrigue to keep your interest!
Ms. Rand, thank you for another captivating story!
Madison had hoped to see Ramsey at the bar and when he came in he took her breath just to look at him. She was a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington and had accepted a part time job at the City History Museum as the assistant curator. Singing helped to pay her bills. She wanted to get close to the subject of her master degree thesis, The DeWolfe family. She had been obsessed with them since high school. After her last song the waitress told her Ramsey wanted to meet her and buy her a drink. After they talked awhile, her took her to his luxury condominium that overlooked the lake. Then the story gets hot and steamy. The intensity was so strong, it effected both of them. He was so mad when she told him she wanted to write about his family curse. He promptly took her home but he could not get her out of his mind. There was a serial killer on the loose that targeted young blonde girls. This is a wonderful read and we all could use a Ramsey to rescue us. A well written steamy story to keep you turning the pages.
The hero being a Detective, who because of a family curse decides that because he's destined not to fall in love he may as well enjoy the play.
The heroine doing a thesis on his family and the curse, falls for him and tries to see if the curse can be broken.
