- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2024Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseIt’s like the reader is a producer’s assistant and gets a front row seat to the making of this classic, from conception to bringing in the talent, making the deals, shooting and cutting the picture, arguing with the ratings board – all of it. Fascinating inside baseball, written with wit and a sharp eye for detail. If you’re a Scarface fan, you’ll want this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseBeing a huge diploma fan, and therefore a huge Scarface fan, it was a no-brainer that I wanted to read this book. It was chock full of information that, being a well-informed fan, never knew. Although the chapter discussing Rap music’s involvement with the movie needed to be mentioned, I thought that section was over written.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2025Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseIf Tony Montana’s Tiger was to dine on this morsel of a book he’d leave Miami hungry. There is little new here that I didn’t already know about Scarface. This is a meager snack of a study. Beware the movie book with no photographs.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2024Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseGlenn Kenny has done it again! If you read Kenny's MADE MEN on the making of Goodfellas, then you already know how genius his work is! THE WORLD IS YOURS is an amazing behind the scenes look at another film classic! Absolutely loved this in-depth study of Scarface! If you loved the film, this is a must-read!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2024Format: Audible AudiobookGlenn Kenny gives this iconic film the history, analysis, and insights it deserves. He covers the trajectories of the medium and all the key players from different vantage points, and probably most importantly he does it interestingly. Film buffs know the key players, but not how our culture created and becomes fixated on the ideas and development of the movie, and why it's imprint across the film and larger American landscapes has stayed emblazoned on our collective psyche. This book is galvanizing start to finish. Thank you, Glenn Kenny.
