About the Author

Pamela H. Bender spent most of her career in education crafting words to help children. She wrote grants, testified in congressional hearings and worked on legislation for the students of an inner-city school district. Her first two series, The Dennsion Family Saga and Living Passionately, were written for adults. Writing a new series, The Ripple Effect, for teens and adults is a natural progression in her writing career.

Following her own advice, she lives each day to the fullest. By the time her husband, Joe, wakes up, she’s immersed in the flow of creation. If she’s taking a long walk with their Mini Australian Shepherd, Josey, he knows she’s working on a plot twist. If their orange cat, Millie, is on the back of her chair, he knows Pam is writing.

Her children have always been the center of her private life. Twenty-three grandchildren and seven married kids keep her busy and connected to the complex world of teens. Some of the problems they face show up on the pages of this novel, some come from her own experiences.

Pam hopes the books in The Ripple Effect series will both empower teens and increase communication between the generations.

I was a little disappointed in this book. I found it to be confusing. The author mentions in this book that the main character, Anna, has been married twice before she met Jeb her current love. No where in the preceding book did it ever mention her second marriage and subsequent death of her second husband. There was also a confusing part with dates and Mamie Eisenhower. The book is enjoyable but there were parts I felt were disjointed.

I am so happy this book finally came out. Worlds Apart will show how two people who are very different aren't really that different when they find each other. This is just a wonderfully written account of what happened and how they got together. I love this book. I could not put it down and cannot wait until Pamela Bender gets more books for us to read. Bravo!!!

A wonderful book by Pamela Bender. It's proof that you can find love even if you aren't looking. True love is out there for everyone. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading. Pam has such a way with words, you never want the story to end. A wonderful finish to the first two books.
