I started looking into other types of litter and wound up with similar issues. Dust and scent gave me migraines that would last a day or longer. Newspaper and pine litters both smelled bad enough new to be an issue, but worse was when they were used.
I got lucky and was cat sitting for a family that used World's Best. It was the first time I've ever scooped litter without ending up in pain. The price tag made me skeptical, but I've found it absolutely saves me money each month. A 28 pound bag is enough for my three cats for a month almost every time.
I love that it is corn based and therefore much healthier for my cats. Even though clay always seemed cheaper, I was always worried about my cats ingesting the clay when they clean themselves. No more issues there.
This does not track anything like any other litter I've tried. A few little pieces here and there, but in general I would consider this a low tracking litter.
Dust is also not an issue for me with this litter. When scooping you don't get poo dust clouds in your face. I don't think there's much more that would ever need to be said on that matter.
The smell is the biggest issue for me for any litter. As I mentioned, this litter does not have a strong odor that might trigger headaches or migraines in people with sensitivity. That's not true for me with the purple lavender scented bag, but the red multi-cat unscented bag is perfection.
We adopted a smelly cat a year ago. I won't pretend things were perfect when he was still super smelly, but as his diet improved and his bathroom trips got a bit less stinky, this litter still held up. I don't think a litter in the world could have helped our Nougat back then, but that's the only scent issue we've ever had.
The clumps are almost always as firm as clay clumps, without the clay muddiness you get with some brands. Scooping is easy. Pee clumps are pretty giant sometimes, but they stick together. They also clump at the top, unlike some litters that let the moisture sink to the bottom. That means clean box sides. Poop doesn't end up in a giant clump of litter which was different, but not a bad thing at all.
We alternate flushing and bagging. Even with a slower toilet flow the pee clumps (we don't flush the giant pees) break apart and go right down. It's definitely flushable if that is a key factor in your decision to but.
The only issue I've ever had is that I had one bag sent that was subpar quality. When you get a new bag, the litter is in fairly large pieces. After using it, it breaks down to a much smaller size. The smaller size granule is not as effective, and is the signal that the litter should be changed. So I got a bag one time that was all the small granules, and it was essentially worthless. I tried to use it anyhow, but it was a bust. But that's the only issue I've ever had in years of using WB.
So, this litter has saved money and migraines. Two of our cats took to it immediately, the third had to have it introduced with his old clay litter mixed in. That process only took about a week though. Ordering it on Amazon is the cheapest option I've found at the 28lb bag size, but I like that other retailers have started carrying it.
I highly recommend trying it out. It's a game changer.

Did a 25 day test w/ World's Best Cat Litter Clumping Litter Formula, Nature's Miracle Just for Cats Corn Cob Litter, and Just the Crystals Premium Crystal Cat Litter. I've also previously used Dr. Elsy's Precious Cat Ultra Premium Cat Litter and can offer a comparison with it as well.
(#1) World's Best: Clumps very well and doesn't track much at all. There is a small amount of dust, but the dust appears to have a large particle size and doesn't stay airborne, so it settles quickly back into the box instead of getting all over everything. There is a slight odor to the litter which is a little unusual, but it doesn't smell bad, and it seems to control the cat odor well. It's also light weight, which makes it easy to scoop. My four cats had no problem w/ World's Best. Of the four litters, this is the one I'll probably end up going back to. Some people look at the cost per pound and say it is too expensive, but it is less dense than the clay litters, and as a result it takes less poundage to fill a litter box. While I didn't measure this precisely, I'd tend to say the 28 lbs bag of World's Best goes at least as far as a 40 lbs bag of Precious Cat (or other fine clay litter), which makes the costs a lot more comparable (just don't overpay for the litter - some of the Amazon marketplace resellers gouge on the price).
(#2 - tie) Just the Crystals: I tried this litter based on the excellent reviews here on Amazon. It doesn't track very much at all (and given the large granules, it is easy to vacuum up when it does). It is easier to scoop than the others, as you just scoop out the poop and then stir it - you don't need to remove the urine. While that sounds a bit gross, it really doesn't appear to get wet, smelly, or dirty any quicker than the others. I was also really impressed with the manufacturer, who definitely seems to stand behind their brand. All of that said, while Just the Crystals is much less dusty than the clay litters, it did create a small amount of airborne dust while scooping. It wasn't particularly objectionable, but was more than either Nature's Miracle (which had none) or World's Best (which settled before getting very airborne). My cats also used this box less than the others, though they've never used a crystal litter before and likely just aren't used to it, which I can't hold against Just the Crystals. The verdict? I probably won't continue with Just the Crystals myself, but if I used an automatic litter box this would probably be my litter of choice. Price does seem a little bit more than other premium litters when measured by volume (not weight), but because you don't throw out the peed up litter, you still have just as much litter in the box after 3 weeks as you had when you filled it initially (versus the other litters where you're steadily throwing away litter as it gets peed up), which balances things out a bit.
(#2 - tie) Nature's Miracle: Basically zero dust, very lightweight (so it is really easy to scoop), and it also smells great coming out of the package. It does track a bit more than the others, though that's only a minor annoyance to me (could be worse depending on where the box is). The real problem though is that it doesn't clump well, and since the clumps fall apart, small pieces of old, peed up litter gradually build up in the box, which means it starts smelling bad faster. While I used Nature's Miracle for years, this is eventually what pushed me away from it. If they could fix the clumping issue, this would probably be my favorite litter because of the non-existent dust and light weight. The clumping issue is a fairly big deal to me though, and World's Best gets me most of the advantages without that major disadvantage. Per unit of volume this seems comparable to other premium litters - perhaps a bit less than World's Best or Just the Crystals - but you might need to change it more often to keep it from smelling bad, which could make it less cost effective.
(#3) Dr. Elsy's Precious Cat: Clumps extremely well and controls odor quite well. When I had a stray cat and her kittens, this is the litter I picked once they were of age to use a litter box (rather, I used the kitten version of it) because it seemed to control the odor the best for the longest period of time. It does track a bit more than the litters with larger granules (like World's Best or Just the Crystals), and it's fairly heavy, which makes it harder to scoop and change. The worst part is the dust though. As the litter ages, the granules seem to break down into smaller pieces that go airborne and make absolutely awful dust. The older it got, the worse it became. Scooping it would set off the smoke alarm in the room, and I had to wipe down everything in the room with a wet rag to remove the thick coating of litter dust. With one box in the past (prior to this test), it eventually got bad enough I felt like I had to cover my mouth while scooping it. I've tried their Respiratory Relief version as well, and that wasn't any better. I've also tried mixing it with a less dusty litter like Nature's Miracle, but that made little difference. Price per unit volume seems a bit less than World's Best or Just the Crystal's (more comparable to Nature's Miracle - maybe a little less than it too), but I wouldn't use it anymore even if it were free - can't stand the dust.
As for test methodology... All of the boxes were changed the same day. They were also washed before changing them using fragrance free detergent (I use fragrance free laundry detergent to do the boxes - it's mild, leaves no odor, and I'm sure won't irritate my cats). The litter boxes are converted from large Rubbermaid totes (I needed something with high sides as I have one cat that sometimes doesn't squat and pees over the sides of regular litter boxes). I scoop them once daily at night.
While all of the boxes are pretty large (again, they're Rubbermaid storage totes), one is about 50% larger than the others. Historically, my cats have preferred that box, perhaps because of the extra room. In this test, that box had World's Best, and, true to form, they used that box more than the others. That said, the box size may factor into that.
Also, I did not actually measure volume for the price comparisons. Those are very loose estimates based on how much it felt like I needed to dump into the boxes to fill them. At the end of the day, the price differences between them weren't so significant as to be the major differentiator between them.

I had to buy my original brand to mix and the Issue was resolved.
So this month I bought this one which was the one I really wanted but when I opened it up I panicked because it was a different colour and scent and I thought Ivy would not like it initially, but all I done was topped up loads with this one to mix with the old, and each day I’ve been adding more and more, I’ll wait a week or so before doing a full clean.
Having used the original last month and this This month I cannot smell any cat pee at all, if it was my old litter then there’s no way I’d get away with topping up after not doing a full clean in over a month. It absorbs so well. This version actually absorbs new pee pretty instant whereas the original version it could break up if you removed too soon.
Makes my life so easy not having pee all in the bottom of the tray and only Having to lift the solid clumps.
Yes this is expensive but it’s so worth the money but in reality I was fully cleaning out my old litter every week so it pretty much meant it worked out expensive that way anyway for not doing a great job.
My only issue with both the original and multi Cat version is that it is super dusty which is annoying as you can see white powdery paw prints, well I don’t see it on the floors as it blends in but I know it’ll be there because my sofa is black and i See the prints. For me it’s not a massive issue that would stop me using it as the benefits far outweigh this slight issue, it’s more of an inconvenience rather than issue as such. I always wipe down my sofa with a sponge and antibacterial spray at the end of every night anyway and if It’s annoying me through the day then I just wipe with kitchen roll and a spray.
I wouldn’t say it’s always dusty though because once they’ve been in and dug around and pee’d etc then the powdery residue mixes in. So it’s only initially that it’s obvious.
Sorry this is such a long review for anyone reading but I wanted a full run down on the benefits and issues When I was wondering whether I was mad to be paying this for my cats to toilet on, so I thought it might help others to know more details than it’s good
Short review:
Buy it, it's flushable and really works!
Long review:
Timeframe: We've been using this litter for just over a year.
Pros:
+ Very absorbent. I think it is more absorbent than the clay litter. Every dribble forms it's own little clump.
+ No dust. My partner used to wear a mask to scoop our other litter but it's not necessary now. In addition to health benefits, there is no dust to find it's way around the house and settle on every horizontal surface imaginable.
+ Very soft. I don't know if "silky" is the right term, but that's the word that comes to mind.
+ Cats took to it immediately, not that they didn't take to other litters, also. I just thought I'd mention it.
+ Very light. There is a lot litter per unit of weight.
+ it's flushable! This is the most amazing feature ever! No more smelly bags of poop!
+ You can subscribe and save (to save some money)
Cons:
- Price. 'Nuff said.
- It doesn't scoop itself. We still have to scoop it. :)
It is a pitty because the product used to be amazing.
As I saw already another review like mine, something must be wrong with this product now.
I don't want my review to be seen as a negative one.
I just want to help the product to be amazing again like it was before.
But it can be very dusty - and as such sometimes does a very odd thing... you know when you eat a bag of wotsits and you get orange all over your fingers? Think that, but pale yellow, on your cats feet! - And though it scatters way less than a lot of clay litter, it still gets outside the tray, even with a catch mat - but the nibs are very small, so when they do scatter, they get literally everywhere!
However; while in general terms I would say its technically a 4 star litter because the good does far outweigh the bad - the reason I'm giving it a 2 star rating is that I've been getting this a while now, and I would say 3 out of 5 deliveries are, without fail, either "delayed until tomorrow", and or completely cancelled with no notice - and when you look into the details, it's always because the bag has been damaged in transit. So unless you order a new bag when you still have at least 2 litter changes left in the last one (to allow for the faffing about with delays and reordering), you can easily be caught out. And given amazon is literally a delivery only company, this is absolutely ridiculous: they should either package the bags more securely (I don't normally advocate "bag in a box" repackaging, but this needs it) or take better care loading/ transiting it - because this is just appalling customer experience. I had to cancel the subscribe and save because it was so unreliable, and I'm constantly on the look out for something to switch to, purely because of the delivery - not the product; and as I say, for a delivery specialist, that's just unbelievably daft!!
