Editorial Reviews

Review

Getting around the City of Light should be a cinch. And it is on paper. Then reality gets in the way. There is so much to see, so much to eat. What to do? Jerry and Janine Sprout have made it trouble-free for visitors to Paris by dividing the city into walking tours that take a half to a full day, depending on your pace, and cover anywhere from a few miles to a maximum of six. The promenades in the book are shorter, taking about half a day. Each tour starts and ends at a Metro stop, and there is plenty of time set aside for detours, stops and just wandering. All the famous spots (Trocadero, Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Montmartre) and neighborhoods are here. ----Chicago Tribune, Sept 2012

The glossy photos alone in this travel book, one in a series by a Markleeville publisher, will make you want to take a yearlong sabbatical in France. It also features many tips on shopping, hotels and museums, and suggests walking tours that take you off the beaten path. ----Sacramento Bee, Sept 2012

The book has completely preoccupied my thoughts. All I want to do is go back to Paris, take your book and wander around. So alas, I work away, dreaming, and every so often I pick up No Worries Paris and say, just a few more pages. The guide is well researched and has left me longing for the sites, parks, people, food and most certainly the streets of Paris. It was so smart to have photos along with the walking tours. Well done! -- --Karen A. Chase, author, Bonjour 40

Step into a postcard of Paris with this excellent guide to the City of Light. The Paris we all love is covered. Excellent of Paris newbies, the book covers the famous sights as well as including some surprises with out-of-the way places. This is the right guide. --Paris Voice --This text refers to the paperback edition.
