When standing at the crossroads, Mikela chose to get better vice bitter. In the moments of despair She made a conscious decision to not be consumed with the why, what and how of the circumstances, and instead focused on God's promises and truth. Trials come to deepen our faith and transform our character.
She implores the reader to readily submit to the will of God, trust Him and lean on Him in the dark times to sweeten the bitterness of this journey called "life."
I encourage those who find themselves in a care-giving role as well as those who know someone in this role to read this book. It emphasizes the need for the care-giver to take care of themselves first and prepares and reminds all involved in the process that it is a marathon; not a sprint!!
