We purchased this robot for our son's 4th birthday. He'd been asking for a robot for Christmas or his birthday. I did some research on robots and found these WowWee robots. I showed him the little video clips of the robots in action on Amazon. He was super excited and kept asking to watch them over and over. He was so excited when he got this one for his birthday. He plays with it often and keeps it up in a special place to "keep it safe" from his 2 year old brother. He laughs at the funny things the robot says and likes to play with it in dark rooms where he can see the headlights working. I think the age rating is for a little older kids but he figured out how to run the remote control very quickly on his own. Great toy!

I love this toy. If you do not read the instructions to completely under stand all the functions you may want to leave it in a corner. This toy is a blast. I checked it out before I give it to my son for Christmas. Works well. He is going to Love It.

I spent a lot on this toy for my son's main Christmas gift and it was a total let down and waste of money.
The Robot doesn't do anything the ad or product descriptions say it does. It says the same sentence over an over, goes forward and backwards, that's it.

I contacted the company 4 times, even had my son write them for support in his own word (saying that place makes the same one Santa makes) and only got an automated response stating my email was received.
No one at the company bothered to contact us to offer any help, service, replacement options.
RUDE.

This company doesn't stand by their product and ignore their customers and I will never buy from them again.
My $250 purchase has sit in a corner, collecting dust for 3.5 months now.

My son doesn't understand why Santa would send him a defective product.
I don't understand how companies like this can deceive parents and children.

This robot was fun for a few days and after that he's been on a shelf and gets played with every few months. Our "auto find" never worked properly (at all). Toy is very well made (other than the auto find)... and appears to be very durable but it's limited and very repetitive. I wouldn't rate as a "don't buy"... because your child my love this robot. Just wasn't the right toy for us.

Gave a 3 on educational value (vs. 1 or lower) because the remote has been good for learning right/left & forward/backward... other than that educational value is 0.

Bought this as a gift for my 8 year old son.
He loves it! It is almost like another friend for him in that he spends hours playing games with it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to introduce a child into the wonders of robotics as a toy/game.

As my name says, I collect toy robots. This is another great one from WoWee. It has a cutsie personality like Tribot has and would be fun for kids. I display mine...not play with them, but they are always fun the first few days when you figure out what they do. Unfortunately, after that, it gets on the shelf in full display. I am sure a kid would love this. A far cry from the greats like the Attacking Martian, but still fun.

I got this for my son for his birthday, and he immediately loved it. After playing with it for a few hours though, he got bored with it. He also got frustrated because the robot won't do the things it is advertised to do, such as follow him. This purchase was a bit disappointing for the price.
