Georgie and Tate's story is one of pure love, triumph, and struggles. It shows what a true family looks like, and the way they stick together through thick and thin. We may all have a tough time in life, but when happiness and good people cross your path, grab ahold of them and cherish all the moments.
Bringing Georgie into the family, Tate realizes she's the woman who was always meant to be by his side, and he does everything he can to prove that to her. She has her heart guarded at first, so it starts off a bit rocky, but that's the true beauty in it.
This is a super sweet love story, with some exciting twists and turns thrown in the mix, which keeps you wanting to move forward with the characters and their lives.
We also get the occasional douche bag to hate on, which makes it fun, and they always get what's coming to them in the end. Loving the hot cowboys, country life, and family you wish was yours. Definitely excited to see where this series goes, and what new characters we are introduced to in the future.
Georgie was on the road with no destination with her dog Tango. Living the life of a gypsy taking in as much as she could because hey life is short. Her journey led her to a ranch and it's here she crashes into Tate. Life is funny that way.
Tate was a good old southern boy. He helped on his families ranch and raised a beautiful daughter. He had been dealt a crappy hand at one point but the man was a text book example of perseverance. While out wrangling some wayward cattle he meets Georgie.
I liked almost every aspect of this book. The drama may have been all over and maybe should have stuck to one dramatic plot and at times I found myself getting frustrated. I'm glad I stuck it out and how it ended brought the story together.
I so loved this book. I was instantly drawn into the story. I really loved the characters. I loved the Cannon family. I liked the little pops of humor. This book also had the tears flowing from a few times. It definitely pulled at my heartstrings. This book really pulled all the emotions out of me. The lasting emotion it leaves me with is happiness and feel good. My heart happy sighed when I finished this book. I didn't want this one to end and I can't wait for more from this series.
Tate is my new BBF. He's all cowboy and has a huge heart. He has erected walls around his heart just like Georgie. The only problem is that those walls are no match for eachother.
I loved this book from beginning to end. This is a book and author that I will be recommending to all of my book friends.
It started off a little unconventionally, with Georgie and her faithful dog, going on a road trip following her grandfather's death. Many days and miles later there's an accident where she's renting accommodation and she crashes into the lives of the Cannon family.
She meets Tate, a lone parent, and a lovely romance begins. Naturally, it isn't all plain sailing but love conquers all and this one certainly made me smile and look forward to the next book in the series.
The story of Georgie and Tate is a tale of love and overcoming heartbreak (in more than just a romantic sense).
Georgie is a woman to be reckoned with. With a quick tongue and fast wit (I loved the one-liner put downs… hilarious), she’s strong and independent. Coupled with a vulnerable, loving side, Georgie is one of those heroines you’d love to have as a friend.
Tate is exactly how I’d imagine a cowboy to behave (wishful thinking, huh?): honest, loyal, with an innocent charm and healthy respect for women. The dialogue was spot-on, too.
With a strong family element weaved throughout, it’s a coming together story where both Georgie and Tate work through past personal trauma together. With a few twists and turns thrown into the mix, the story is a sweet and fun read that left me feeling warm, fuzzy and hopeful.
