The picture they have of the product has a tab at the top of the sphere. The product I received had no tab, and had three very small holes in the top of the acrylic. It also did not come with any hardware to install it. I did not want to just screw this to the wall, because I wanted to be able to take it off to clean it and such. I used a drywall anchor with a small hook. I did have to drill out the center hole a bit to fit the hook.
The bowl itself measures about 8.5 inches in diameter with roughly 1 inch of acrylic surrounding the bowl. In the description of this bowl it says it measures 14 inches X 14 inches X 7 inches. This is not the case.
I would say it is pretty accurate to say it holds roughly a half a gallon of water.
I did a comparison with another commonly purchased product the "Betta Bubble" by elive. It is significantly smaller than this product. The sphere is more of a squished sphere, it is not round. It did however come with a pretty cool LED light, a lid, hanging hardware, a desk stand (not sure why anyone would use this when it is meant to be put on a wall) and cheap decorations. The Betta Bubble was roughly $20 after tax, where as this product only cost me $17. I did purchase small pebbles, a live plant and a submersible LED (which has not been delivered yet). Roughly another $20 worth of products.
I actually purchased another wall sphere from another company to compare to this as well. So far this one wins my vote. Here are my photos of the comparison and the final product minus the LED.
If you do care about animals and their wellbeing, you will soon realize that this home is not ideal for any fish.
There are essentially only two types of fish that can technically survive this tank: the betta and the goldfish. Any other breed of fish will not be able to live in these conditions due to the lack of a filter and lack of air bubbles.
Goldfish: May survive in this tank for a few months, most goldfish are over 10 inches in length once they become adults. These fish are often bought when they are 1 inch in size. A small goldfish would be 6 inches, which is still far too big for this tank. Goldfish can live for many years. Most fish can, yet many fish die prematurely in our care. I would not recommend buying a goldfish for this tank. It might be okay if you're using this tank to house feeder goldfish for a different pet... but a goldfish will not last long in this small tank.
Betta: These beauties have a lot of personality if you take the time to pay attention. Some are shy, others are curious, and most are responsive to their owner/feeder. Some bettas learn to communicate to let you know that they are hungry. This may be by tapping on the glass to get your attention or by swimming along the glass whenever you pass by. A single betta thrives in 5 or more gallons. You will find that when a betta has the space to grow healthy, it will be more vibrant in color, have flowing fails free of tangles, and will have a bright spirit. Bettas can live longer than 6 years with proper care. A betta that is stuck living in a one gallon tank (or smaller) will likely be prone to disease due to stress.Read more ›

Unfortunately, this was too small for a fish to live comfortably.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
This lasted my sister and her beta fish about a week before she felt bad and upgraded him to a much larger tank. It's not large enough for a poor fish to swim around.Published 2 months ago by Breanna Martinez Lynch
this was exactly as described, and looks good with a plant and water beads. I think it is too small for a fish.Published 2 months ago by S. Weeks
