"Cheryl writes from the perspective of a devout Catholic mother of two sons who is fascinated by the Jewish roots of Christianity, particularly the women of the Old Testament. She shares personal experience and her knowledge of the Old Testament matriarchs in a unique perspective of how modern Catholic women can learn from our ancient ancestors in faith.
"Teresa, on the other hand, is a media-savvy talk show host and well-known Catholic personality who travels the world and leads pilgrimages in various holy places. She shows us how a modern Catholic woman can truly find the gift of authentic femininity in our toxic culture.
"Both women share anecdotes of their personal faith journeys and relate them to each of the ten gifts. My favorite chapter was the one on The Gift of Suffering. Both Cheryl and Teresa wrote convincing essays, avoiding cliches and sentimentalism, to show us how suffering can indeed be a gift—not an easy task!
I highly recommend Wrapped Up: God's Ten Gifts for Women and the companion journal to Catholic women in any phase of life or spiritual development."—Peggy Bowes, blogger and author, The Rosary Workout; coauthor, Tending the Temple

Cheryl talks about her Polish grandmother. I was lucky enough to have a mom like that. She was definitely the Matriarch of our family. She was the essence of selfless love and I always felt that her faith and daily devotion to praying the rosary blessed her and our family. She took care of my dad for 20 years as he battled a chronic illness and finally succumb to lung cancer. She did this and still found time to cook special meals when we visited and read stories to her grandchildren. We were blessed to have her in our lives for 16 more years after my dad passed. I'm so glad my daughters could witness the joy she found in each new day and how her faith gave her strength to gracefully handle the tough times. I wish there were more role models in the world like my mom, but unfortunately many people never get to feel such unconditional love.
It highlights our hunger living in the secular world.

Basically, a very religious-based book, which I hadn't realized!
