If you like a good white knuckle mystery that will keep you on the edge of seat mesmerized by the authors literary writing skills you'll want to get started reading this book! I'm sure glad I found this author.
I've Got to get the next Lieutenant Harrington book in the series so I can continue following his fight against crime !
Read to find out if the woman's husband did the killing and if so, did he allow his wife to live? This first killing lead to a multiple series of killings and finally the killer has made it personal for Lieutenant Harrington, read to find out why. This is a great read that you will all enjoy, this is a great author that you will all soon recognize and be on the look on for.
every single "Turned left down this hallway" right down the next. How many times does the
reader need to know that he drives a piece of crap Old rusted pickup truck. How many times
did he turn left, turned right, slammed the car door, truck door, ect. OMG such crap...
This book would be about 25 pages if it was just the mystery told. The rest is filler dumb crap!
All about cars, trucks, how he met his gf, how he found his dog, details about so many characters
how tall they are, how much they weigh. How he met them, where he used to work... on and on and on.
page after page, then one page or two of the actual mystery, then more details no one cares about.
The Killer we meet on the first page, there is NO mystery to it. It just follows along as the killer "Chris",
goes from one kill site to the next. Then the cops trying to figure it out, very slowly...
It might have been a good book if all that useless crap was left out... repeats after repeats of the same
This is my first by this author and I am pretty sure my last one too..
sorry NOT recommending this one...
Overall this is a very well written novel. None of it is written in first person narrative, it’s sll third person, my favorite kind of writing. The author manages to give you a sense of real time passing as the story goes from Lt. Harrington's point of view to his girlfriend’s and then the killer’s. While we’re aware of what’s happening to each of them, hoping Lieutenant Harrington will suddenly acquire psychic abilities and stop Mercer, we’re tagging along as the Lt. goes over evidence and interviews witnesses. This adds much suspense to the story. There’s no jumping around. A three day stay in the hospital equals three days, the storyline is awesome!
This one is very worthy of five stars. I’d love to read the rest of the series, and I may eventually. I have a subscription to Kindle Unlimited and try to only read books that are offered through the service at no cost. I read four or five novels each week and can’t afford to pay full price.
I’m so glad I found this new author - new to me. Several of his books are available and I may start breaking my own rules, because I really want to read the rest of this series.
