Review

I have two confessions to make about this book
1. I cried my eyes out for more of this book than I have any other book this year
2. The books is so good that despite the tears...I've read it twice
The book is more emotional than I was anticipating It was breath taking raw but remarkably sensitive. Books Laid Bare

When two damaged people come together without dealing with their own pasts, you have a car wreck of a relationship waiting to happen.
This was a well-written, emotional and powerful read. It was one that I loved and could not put down. Lisa, LBM Book Blog

From the Author

Quotes
The urge to have Abby any way I can get her is too strong. Maybe if she spends enough time around me, she'll see why she needs to run in the opposite direction. Maybe she'll figure it out before I wreck her with my demons. I can only hope so, because I'm not strong enough to push her away. --Hawke

Time to either go for what I want, or miss out on what has the potential to be something incredible. Question is, which would be worse? Having what I want and losing it or never having it at all? --Abby

Going in to Hawke's book I just knew from the small information we had on him that we were going to go on an emotional roller coaster and Heather C. Leigh did just that. She gave us a story that's filled with so much emotion that it's gut wrenching and heartbreaking and honest. This book spoke to me on such a personal emotion level that I can still feel those emotions swirling in my heart.

I What I love about Heather's stories is that she uses subject matters that you don't find in other books and she is able to do it in such a magnificent beautiful way that the subject matter is respected and embraced. She doesn't shy away from talking about serious subjects such as PTSD and mental illness but she also shows you how there is hope and how one can live through it!

I loved every minute of Hawke and Abby's story and even though their journey was long and the path was filled with a great deal of bumps along the way it was also beautiful. It shows us how we can persevere and how a happily ever after is not unattainable its just not always perfect! I think this just might be my favorite story out of the Sphere of Irony series and although I was desperately awaiting its release I am also sad to see it come to an end. Can't wait to see where Heather C. Leigh takes us in her next book!

I am not even sure I can describe how emotionally wonderful this book was. Having loved the three other books in this series, I knew I would like this one. Hawke, the drummer in the band has always liked Abby. Abby has always liked Hawke. As we go through time in this book, we experience what happened in their past, that played a part in their journey to find love. It was an amazing story taking part over several years that you just have to read.

Wrecked, completely totally wrecked. I hope there is be a come back tour, 'cause I am not ready to say good bye to Sphere of Irony. Loved all of the books but Wreck ( book 4) tore at my heart. Tragedy in Hawke's life left him lost and full of guilt. At age 18 he walked away from help taking it upon himself to fight his demons. Hawke, adrenaline junkie, forces away the creepy crawlies by risking his life, slowly committing suicide, slowly destroying everything.
Kate, Dax's girlfriend, brings Abby to see the band before they were famous. Chemistry is a wonderful thing, just not between two people with emotional baggage. Their on again, off again romance shows just how screwed up they are, especially Hawke. The author has such a way with words. I was reading trash magazines and tabloids, getting the inside scoop. I can't remember reading about a more self-centered character then Hawke. If Abby pushed him, he ran. If she questioned him, he ran. When she couldn't take it anymore she walked away. Time would pass and they would get back together only to call it quits again. They finally settle on being friends.
It would be so easy to hate him--Take Abby to VMAs then screw an actress for three days straight, leaving Abby to deal with the Paparazzi. That one poor decision could have ended everything.. Empathy had me wanting to hug him close instead of slapping him silly. Instead of dealing he ignores as usual.
Tragedy caused their mental health issues. Tragedy finally forces them each to get help. Abby listens to her mother, and goes to a resort. Hawke is threatened by Mitch after one of more stupid adventures. Everyone giving up opens his eyes. He seeks help. Hawke's apology to Abby will forever be a favorite swoon moment. The strength it took, just WOW!!!!!!!

Of all of Heather's work that I have read (which includes the entire Famous series, and all the Sphere of Irony stories) this one is the best to date, in my humble opinion. The intense pain and loss that both Hawke and Abby endured is heartbreaking, and Heather did a beautiful job in tackling some serious subjects, in a way that was raw and real. They could not true become one, until they worked on their individual problems.
I have truly enjoyed this entire series. I'm not sure what Heather has in store for us next, but I'm not ready to leave LA just yet!

Heather has done it again!!!! She has "Wrecked" me!! Her latest book in her Sphere of Irony series is a whirlwind. She had me on a rollercoaster. I wanted to take Hawke into my arms and hold him forever and other times I wanted to smack him up side the head. I found myself yelling at my kindle for Abby to hold on he's fighting his own demons, love him enough for both of you. This book just proves that when you find "the one" no matter how hard you try whether consciously or subconsciously to push them away you can't. The love is strong and real. That every person is capable of being loved and we all have demons we fight we just have to trust enough that people care enough about us to let them in to help.

The passion, strength and love that Abby shows for Hawke is written in every word Heather writes. You can feel her emotions with every word, every heart ache, every happy moment, every need. Truly amazing. You can also feel the torment that Hawke feels every day, the demons, the darkness and the euphoria from the adrenaline release but the most heartfelt feeling is the one you feel when he finally admits to himself and Abby that he has PTSD. You can feel the relief in his body through Heather's amazing words. I felt like I was there with him.

Wrecked is a truly amazing story of one man's tortured soul and the woman who loves him and wants to fix him. Only to realize they need to fix themselves first before they can fix each other.
