Akasha is a resident of Bright Future Foster home. Her parents were killed when she was just eight years old by men dressed in Black. Later the cops had found her wandering along side of a highway now she is almost twenty even though her ID says seventeen. She has just been told by the home that she has been assigned a Guardian. Silas McNaught is a Vampire for years he has been searching for a woman in a vision he had. He believes Akasha is the woman so he becomes her Guardian. He soon finds that Akasha aka Kash has a abused past not only this, but she is not like most humans!. After Kash becomes his ward an elder vampire comes to Silas and tells him he must protect Kash and her friends as they are all special!. This becomes extremely hard as the group who killed her parents are looking for her, and an enemy from Silas's past shows up to!.
You will love this exciting, suspenseful, funny, intense, and steamy hot vampire romance!. This is a must must read book!.
This book was as good as the other two. Brooklyn Ann creates a fascinating paranormal world, with Vampires who at times seem more human that the humans they feed on. That's especially true of this book.
The book ended with a suprise and a shock that I assume will come out in some future book.
A must read author, and a must read series.
I loved this book because Akasha is such a strong character. I rarely see a heroine who can fall in love and not loose who she is. She never dumbs herself down, or pretends to be a weak female in order to catch the man. You find yourself wishing to be more like her, not for the romance, but for her strength, likability, and the realistic way she is portrayed.
This is unlike most vampire romances. It is fast paced and action packed. You have got your heroine Akasha who has lived thru soooo much bad s***... I am surprised she is sane. Then you have our sexy smart vampire Silas who adores her. You have Xochitls who is Akasha's best friend and then supporting vamp Razvan and the other band members. You will fall in love with ALL those characters. You have not so secret government agencies. You are in for a WILD RIDE and I HIGHLY recommend this book.
I am off to buy book 2 right now.
