The Write Nonfiction NOW! Guide to Writing a Book in 30 Days (Write Nonfiction NOW! Guides) Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 40 ratings

Why write a nonfiction book in a month? To get it done, that’s why. Maybe you have lots of ideas that you just haven’t gotten down on paper, published, and into the hands of eager readers. Maybe you think you don’t have the time or the skills. All too often, perfectly capable writers have this misconception, and they end up taking years to finish their book—if they finish at all. Don’t let that happen to you. Get your brilliant idea out of your head and onto the page, where it can be read by those who need it.

This guide will help you:

— Fine-tune your idea for maximum effectiveness in the market
— Find the time to write
— Prepare, structure, and organize so you write smart, not hard
— Spark your creativity (or memory, if you’re writing memoir)
— Maintain your energy, enthusiasm, and drive
— Not get distracted or discouraged
— Finish what you start
— Write nearly perfectly in your first draft—it can be done!

Write Nonfiction NOW! Guides are edited by the founder of NaNonFiWriMo (National Nonfiction Writing Month) and include tips from bestselling authors, seasoned writing coaches, and those who have successfully taken the Write Nonfiction in November Challenge. Each guide teaches a unique aspect of becoming a successful nonfiction author. These guides inform and motivate authors, businesspeople, and even non-writers to use their purpose and passion to create desirable and publishable products.

The Write Nonfiction Now Guide to Writing a Book in 30 Days Edited by Nina Amir is another must read for all aspiring nonfiction writers.
Everyone has heard of NaNoWriMo, the National Novel Writing Month challenge but how many of you have heard of the NaNonFiWriMo challenge, the National Nonfiction Writing Month challenge. I hadn’t heard of it until I downloaded this book and I have been writing nonfiction articles and ghostwriting nonfiction books since the 1980s. Nina Amir founded this challenge a year after taking part in the NaNoWriMo challenge in 2007 because she saw a need for a challenge aimed at the nonfiction writer. Are you up for the challenge?
The Write Nonfiction Now Guide to Writing a Book in 30 Days is a book packed with all the information you will ever need to succeed in this challenge and packed with information that you will use in succeeding as a nonfiction writer throughout your career. Earlier in this review, I have been writing and publishing since the 1980s but even I picked up some new ideas that will help me as a writer.

I started a 30-day nonfiction book challenge and just as I was contemplating what type of book to do it as (traditional publisher book, eBook, kindle book, booklet, etc.) I read this book and it detailed these different types of books well so I have am in a much better place to continue writing my book.

This is more a compilation of articles from different writers on how to be a more productive writer. I thought this book was going to present a strategy to help you complete a book in 30 days. Not so.
I gave it 3 stars because the articles are good, just not what the title promised

5.0 out of 5 stars Concise and Encouraging

This book is really helpful on more than one level. It is a very dense, no-nonsense description of the indispensable steps that need to be taken in order to create a non-fiction book within a very short time.
At the same time, it is highly inspiring. You read all those useful hints and you can’t help thinking “Hey, this sounds like it does require some work and discipline, but it doesn’t seem all that hard!”
I, for one, began setting up the structure of my own non-fiction book even before I had finished this one and now I am in the process of filling my structure with actual text. It feels as though the book is writing itself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent Read

This was a good read, it got to the point and then delved a bit deeper into the psychology of what the reader has set out to understand and this is that the reason for writing something has some personal demons to be overcome, while the book does have some feel good qualities it doesnt completely blind you to the possibility that this feat isnt impossible, it works out the wrinkles and assists a wannabe writer with relevant and useful personal skills and techniques to fulfil a book in 30 days, whether this is true or not it definitly responds to the readers and the fears that are to be had and addresses them, it was nicely written and a pleasure to read.
