Author Tanja Hanika was born in Speyer (Germany) in 1988. She lives with her husband, her son and two cats in the atmospheric region called Eifel. There she writes gothic novels and horror stories in german.

She has drawn on her lengthy writing experiences, and the lessons she learnt during her studies of literature at the University of Treves, to create the “Writer´s Workbook”, which aims to support the process of writing for authors.

The subject matter of this book is GREAT! It is very helpful for me in getting organized, especially with the character build up. Unfortunately I had this book for less than 5 minutes and it started to fall apart. (literally on both accounts) The binding separated as soon as I opened it up and started going through the pages. I hope to use this for a long time while I am writing my book and expect to use it a lot throughout the process but within minutes of having it open it already started coming apart. Now I will have to get a binder and use a hole punch to keep it together... I understand that they wanted to use the most cost friendly way to make the book but this is one part that shouldn't have been made so cheaply.... The glue that was used did not do it's job at all. See the attached pictures. I was so happy when I got this book but was let down with how cheap it was made.

I LOVE this workbook! If you have the characters, locations, plots and descriptions of your book in notebooks, computer programs, or paper napkins, this writers workbook is for you. If you have been reading, studying the craft and making decisions but that Information is disorganized, this book is for you. I have just described my self! I don’t know the author, but one thing I do know, she knows what it takes to do the hard work of bringing an idea to fruition in the form of a book. I highly recommend this book. It is a place to write down in ONE PLACE all of you decisions. It is also a place that helps you know what decisions you need to make. It’s visual without being too cute. Very functional.
