The books starts with Josh, Lauren, and Scott all sharing what they wanted to get out of the process of writing, from Josh's "Create characters that people love" to Scott's "Write a book that resonates with readers," to Lauren's oddly specific "Encourage an unknown fan in a hospital." Chapters are organized according to various parts of the process (writing process, release strategy, etc.) and even better, each chapter concludes with a set of action items and points for added reflection (which I sorely need).
A solid addition to the current knowledge base on this subject.
An excellent reminder that as authors we are not alone, and yet? We are alone, so very alone. But this book helps us understand we aren't, not really.

As a full-time author, I often meet people who dream of writing their first book. Others dream of making a living with what they've already published. Well, this book will help make such dreams a reality.
