There are certainly some nice exercises in this book, and I've long been a fan of the Behrman products. However, be aware that the answers are printed upside-down at the bottom of most sheets, and the others have answers printed in boxes on the "B" side follow-up exercise. Not very friendly for paper-effeciency.
On fill-in-the-blank exercises the length of the blanks is way too short -- even for my small, careful teacher handwriting. Imagine a poor 9th grade boy -- especially one who is probably already having difficulty writing neatly -- trying to fit "thoroughly" into a 1" blank!
But the biggest problem is that many of the key passages or word banks are printed in black on a dark muddy gray background. I've had to retype, print, and then paste them onto masters before making copies for the class.
That, along with issues that clearly indicate this was not screened by a teacher in the field, make this book not quite "ready-to-use"
