Gary and Wendy are married and happy. But Gary has a rough past with his older brother. Not exactly loving bros, they are always at odds. So for the most part Gary tries to keep Logan away from his life. Logan stole something very valuable from Gary a long time ago. Something that caused a change in him he cannot control. There was even some terrible event that happened involving Wendy at his wedding. It was upsetting to Wendy and it was Logan's fault, as all things are. Now event unflod for Logan to re enter into Gary's life. Will the past come back to haunt his as well?
Too hot! Must read!
What I will always loss heart over is that a short story that is this good could always be longer. This was almost short enough to tag on to another book. This was over 10 pages less than the last. That hurts. Like getting Large Fries and you look into an almost empty bag. Good as they may be, you feel a little cheated. Manus is an excellent author so please don't let this hinder you from reading this series. It's beyond scorching HOT! But get all four! Hopefully the wait will be short!
Part 3 was HOT, though ever so slightly a step down from 1 & 2 since the action was rather sudden and came with almost no consequences. (was hoping Wendy would be more obvious a tease at dinner, first with Logan then with Gary after her bathroom encounter.) The revelation by Logan was hot! And the finality in Wendy was the hotter part for me! Yum! But the story works a million time better read all together.
OK. if you are reading part FOUR or even contemplating reading a part four, I will assume that you have read the previous three parts and liked them enough to consider reading this final chapter. Gary, Wendy, and Logan are the players in this play that take us from the initial eruption of their lustful connection to is culmination that the bitter end of this story will give to you. Is it bitter? Well it ain't sweet. Really enjoy Manus Dare's work and would try just about all of it since I first discovered the specific look viewpoint to the (less Hotwife and more Cuckold) netorare, or NTR style. Now let me save you a trip down Google-search-lane; netorare is the truest or maybe cruelest cheating that you can do to your significant other. Cuckold includes the person being cheated on because they either know or just now come to find out that they like to see their loved one cheat on them. They get off on the act or at least the humiliation and netorare pretty much ignores (mostly) the husband's feelings entirely on the matter. And most times it goes to the extreme of breaking their relationship forever by breaking them up if they find out but sometime they never do, they are kept in the dark indefinitely! No joy for them and no balance of scales, ever.
Having said all of that, I'm going to speak about the series as one book, which I feel is how it belongs. Once again a reader on a soapbox! BEWARE! (hehe!) I can't separate any other portion of this series except for possibly the first part. We get the back story, or at least enough of it that it works as a stand alone piece. But just that part, this story works together on a much more substantial level! We follow some events that when strung together give us a deeper connections with the two main lovers, Wendy and Logan, who are started down a path of lust filled physical pleasure by Logan's insistence and charm(?) We later find that after having given into Logan that Wendy can’t seem to cut him out of her mind. She tries very hard to “be good” and stay away but finds that she just can’t deny her body the incredibly strong level of carnal pleasure that she has never experienced before and didn’t even know existed. Nor does Logan try and be a good brother either, which he wouldn’t even know where to start to take it easy on his smaller softer brother.
I loved the heat that the encounters in the books bring us and the long string of adventures that bring us to the ending that we get, but there are a few things I’d like were slightly changed because I feel like I read this style a lot and having read a bunch of books on the subject I start to tire a little of the common trope of the husband always being a “Peewee Herman” sized weakling with the wife WAY above his weight class. Some blonde goddess like Jessica Simpson from “Dukes of Hazzard,” Brooklyn Decker or Kate Upton that he knows he is lucky to have and loves like no other. And then the beast of a man that takes her away from her loving husband is of course a greek god resembling the entire cast of “Magic Mike” or any muscle riddled reject of an all male stip club with a huge cock akin to the size of a WWII era submarine.
Now that being said, I love how Manus Dare delivers all these things to me! MD makes this series work in that you actually get to know these characters. You actually care what happens to them. Otherwise why even finish reading the story. If every character sucked then I would have been out after book one, but MD made me care about Gary and Wendy, as well as their relationship. But maybe that was all in my head, you will have to read this series with your own barometer! And if you don’t enjoy ending that aren’t clearly HEA-style rainbow and unicorn buffets of happiness then these books might not move you. That you have to decide for yourself. I wouldn’t write a book I didn’t like so I don’t expect MD to write them for my mind’s eye. If you follow MD then I think you will be happy with this series!
I have to recommend this book!
Buy it! Read it! Love it!
