Wubbzy’s The Night Before Christmas is a festive deluxe storybook adaptation of the classic The Night Before Christmas holiday poem.
The story takes place on a very special Christmas Eve, where Wubbzy and his friends are snuggly-snug in their beds until they are awakened by the pitter-patter, jingle-jangle and merry sounds of Santa Claus and his reindeer. Kids will love this new take on a holiday tradition from the magical world of Wuzzleburg!
Parents will be delighted to explore the Grown Up’s Corner that provides questions to prompt meaningful conversation with their child. This helps the child enhance their listening and comprehension skills.
Wubbzy’s The Night Before Christmas was developed by Cupcake Digital in partnership with the producers of the Emmy® Award-winning Nick Jr. TV series Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!®, a worldwide hit with young fans and parents since its premiere in 2006.
Features include: THREE STORYTELLING MODES: Read & Play, Read to Me and Just a Book for quiet reading time
FUN GAMES INSIDE THE STORY Three mini-games, Santa’s Sleigh Ride, Wuzzle Tree Dress–up and Snowman Dress-Up, are built into the story to further engage your child’s imagination.
SING ALONG MUSIC VIDEOS Your child will want to get up and dance with two original music videos: Gift of Joy and Holiday Light.

Hi parents! Cupcake Digital is so excited to share this Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! deluxe story experience with you an your child, and we know you will be delighted with the experience. We care about your kids and their safety, so there are a few things we think you should know. This app contains links to social networking sites, to an e-mail where you can contact us when you need help or have feedback, and to the app stores so you can rate our apps or buy more great Wubbzy story experiences. Please note, the links are intended for use by parents. You will find most of them within the Help section or on the main menu page. They are never placed within the story, which is designed to be just for kids.
The app is a children's Christmas story book that you can read, have it read to your child or they can also read and play the app. On the bottom of the screen is a menu that can take you Home, go to Pages, Videos, Paint, Games or Options. Under options you can uncheck the box to show you when new apps are released.
The screens are colorful and interactive and if you touch items like the stockings or the presents cute animations will occur. Interactive items will be highlighted with a sparkling light around them as an indicator that they can provide some interaction and change something on the page. Touch everything as it is fun to see what happens.
Along the way there are some simple games that you can play. The art, narration and animation are professionally done and they look very nice. At the end of the book is the Grown-Ups corner and it asks some questions that you can read to your child to check their retention of the story line.
The videos are cute and entertaining for children. There are coloring pages also. This app will provide some good entertainment for your child. I rated the app 5 stars and it is worth getting. Just make sure to read what is below and turn off the device's WIFI to possibly avoid additional app purchases.
After the main screen first opens and everything looks fine then up pops a button for more apps that is small and yet over powering. That is because Wubbzy is in the icon waving his arms and saying, "Wow, Wow Wow!" It a button for more apps and when it first opens it is pushing the app Rio 2. If you press the button you get to see several apps for sale but you have to enter in your year of birth to proceed. After the app ad screen pops up the X would not shut it down. After I pressed the back button of my tablet it asked me if I wanted to shut down the app and it was the only way to exit the screen. There is also a parent's button that is locked with a year code.
The app does work with the airplane mode on and that blocks the popups and access to the web store by turning off the WIFI.

The app contains Flurry Analytics which monitors your in app behavior by following your keystrokes and swipes. It is also used to monitor the software's operation. The app contains not adware or malware and it is safe to download.
The app installed 70.05MB into my device memory and I manually moved it to my SD card. It left 21.48MB in my device memory and transferred 70.12MB onto my SD card memory.
Used a Galaxy Note 4 running 4.4.4, S Pen works with app and makes it easier to interact and draw within this app. For an in depth review of the app's functionality please see Tinfoot's and JJCEO'S great reviews of this app.
I can definitely see how a younger child would thoroughly enjoy using this app and a parent enjoying it with them.
I took off 1* because of all the advertising. A child could easily put in a fake birth date to gain access to content, so parent supervision is a must. I almost took off 2* for this because it is serious, some people may give it 1* total because a small child should never be able to access that kind of content and putting in a correct number sequence gives them access. It's just to easy...
The app has Flurry, but only the developer knows for sure if their abusing it. I'm hoping it's just for app improvement purposes. It also has Adware Android.Admob.a ads gen which is embedded in the code and not an add on module. This is where the advertising is coming from in case you were wondering because add on detectors don't show a module. None of my scanners detected any other Adware, Spyware or Malware in the app.
I think it's a nice little Christmas Activities set for younger children and parents to spend some quality time together, BUT... What was Cupcake Digital Inc. thinking giving young children access to other content they could spend money on by putting in a correct age. Kids are smarter these days. If there was no parent supervision and the parent doesn't have purchases blocked with a password. The child could easily purchase alot of content before the parent was made aware of the situation! Cupcake Digital Inc. is negating their responsibility with some birth date number sequence a child could easily guess=shameful... My suggestion is always be present while a younger child uses this app or password block any purchases to be made on said phone or tablet to protect yourself! Turn off 1click if it's enabled or your young child could possibly purchase all of Cupcake Digital Inc. games under the more games button.
