I needed a new light bulb for my son's ball python tank. The previous one burnt out and it needed replacing. It was a night time light heating bulb that I got at a pet store. I had a lot of trouble with getting the heat right in his 20 gallon tank at first, going through bulb after bulb. I buy these. Not only do they not put out any light, which I didn't want to begin with, but the heat was spot on! Now I just have to figure out which setting my humidifier should be ok and everything will be great.

I am using one of these heat emitters in the roost of my chicken coop (only have one ancient hen) to keep the nighttime temperatures a little warmer. I believe it is doing the trick and is safe for the area it's in. It is working great and at times is on 24 hours/day this winter so I'm happy with its longevity so far.

There isnt really a control for how hot it is on my lamp at least bit the 2 i recieved have been holding up for like 6 months now so great. My previous red bulbs would burn out in like a month or 2 so this is good.
