I have a serious love/hate relationship with this author - I love the way he writes but hate some of the things he writes. No, that's not right. I don't hate what he writes, I hate myself for truly loving every word that he puts on the pages because sometimes they are so evil that they make me feel a little dirty. Dirty is good, right?
And his love/hate relationship with me? He loves that he makes me cry and hates that he can't do it all the time. He is a sadistic prick sometimes but he knows I adore him.
Everything he writes, including this story, makes me FEEL. Feel something other than boredom, same 'ol, same 'ol. This one is no different.
You'll find yourself hating one character in one chapter only to love him in the next. and then hating him again, and then....well, you get the picture.
But you have to trust me. You want a story that will resonate with you? One that will make you think differently? One that will make you feel your heart beating inside of your chest? One that will make you want to hug the seemingly helpless Michael Salem to keep him safe from the big bad wolves only to discover that....maybe he's not so helpless after all?
Then this is definitely the story for you.
Spoiler warning, no happy ending here, but a cliffhanger that should hopefully give us more. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
