Works pretty well, this is the first paring knife I've used in ages. Typically I use a santuko knife for most things, but recently saw recommendations of this shape (straight cutting edge) for paring knives, and I'm quite enjoying this knife, much handier than a curve-edged paring knife. Despite the usefulness, this isn't a great knife, and for around $10 you get what you pay for. Eventually, based on my experience here, I'll probably spring $50 or $100 for the REAL Wusthof paring knife. The blade on this one is sharp, but not "razor" sharp, and cuts well out of the box. Also, I was hoping the blade would be more rigid. Haven't tried sharpening it, as it cuts pretty well, but I'm used to having SCARY sharp kitchen knifes, and this isn't. For $10, certainly worth the experiment. If you haven't tried a knife this shape, it's certainly a good way to find out if you like it. The rest of my paring knifes are headed for the next yard sale....

What a bargain price for Wusthof steel. This little santoku paring knife is a perfect compliment to my Wusthof Silverpoint full size santoku knife. If you need a small purchase to make the $25 free shipping total for you order, I recommend giving this little knife a try.

I had one for years and a friend loved it so much I let her keep it. I bought this to replace it and am very pleased. It works better than an ordinary paring knife.

This is the most used knife I got. Looks like it never looses the sharpness. Just hand wash it and don't keep it in hot water and you have never to sharpen it.

Great all purpose blade. Perfect for thermo and apron pockets. You can have it on hand all the type and the santoku blade won't punch through fabric. Thumbs up.
