Don't even get me started on the writing style, no spark at all.
This book is free now, but if you want more in depth stories of the rest of the siblings, you will have to read their stories written by other author's. (ljb)
The part I did read, things happened quickly with little flow of connecting the events..
Cute idea, but needed more DRAMA .. I needed the suspense and see and feel the characters falling in love.. maybe they do later and I did not give it a chance, but I got bored quickly in the book and gave up.
I hope the author continues to write.. I know many will enjoy this story and the fast paced events... it was just not what I was looking for.
The Culpepper brothers want to inherit the ranch, but their grandpa's will ordered that all four brothers have to get married within six months and one of them had to have a baby on the way within the year, or the ranch will go to their cousin (and nobody wants that... except that cousin). Desperate to find mates, they turned to professional matchmaker Dr. Lachele Simpson (ref: At the Altar series), and Lachele delivered again: locating the Quinlan Quadruplets for them, the quads in a small town brought up on a very conservative family but desperate to make an impact on the world their own way. The oldest Culpepper is Karlan, and he matched up perfectly with Hope Quinlan, the oldest sister, and Karlan even got Hope to agree to marry him that very day, even as he promised to not consummate the marriage just yet. But can such a hurried marriage work for them?
Kristen Osbourne chose to tell this story in a sweet yet somber tone about how Karlan claimed Hope first, and proceed to seduce her slowly. I find this book rather average, and a bit childish at times. But it was not too distracting. I think the 2nd book in the series is better though.
Karlan, the oldest, calls a Match Maker to get the ball rolling. After meeting and talking with the guys, she finds four sisters, quadruplets, and puts them together.
Karlan is the first to see Hope, outside the house on a swing. They talk and he decides she is the one he wants and they marry that first day. The others go slower but before long there are other marriages and by the end if the month two of the gals are expecting so the will has been satisfied.
However, the cousin want the ranch sold and wants his share of the money. The guys are trying to figure out how to raise the money to buy him out in the six months. They have no idea that the gals have been selling online and making good money. The gals decide to up production and help the guys out.
A wonderful story and well written. Dealing with couples getting to know each other after marriage instead of before, misunderstandings, etc. Can't wait to read about the next couple.
