The cards follow traditional RWS meanings in large part, but do deviate in a significant number of cards. I don’t mind and often read with decks that are very nontraditional. However, deviations do need a decent guidebook to explain the artist’s choices, and the guidebook for this deck is light. It contains standard entries for upright and reversed meanings for each of the cards, but the entries are very generic and rarely reference the art. For example, the Six of Cups deviates quite a lot from the RWS, showing a couple hugging while the man touches her shell necklace. The guidebook doesn’t explain this artwork at all, and instead just relays the traditional RWS meaning of nostalgia and memory. Why is the death card a tornado about to suck up a dude and a herd of horses? Although it’s visually one of the coolest cards in the deck, I have no idea why; the guidebook doesn’t say. It’s a decent guidebook for conveying basic tarot meanings to beginners, but it doesn’t particularly feel like it was made specifically for this deck.
On a few cards, I find the people’s faces hard to read, in sharp contrast to the highly emotive faces on some of the cards. For example, the expressions of the women in the Four of Cups and the Five of Cups are pretty similar, with the four expressing something resembling thoughtfulness, and the five something resembling ennui rather than grief. The poor battered fellow in the 9 of wands looks vaguely pleased.
As the listing discloses, the Star and the Moon are mis-numbered. In addition, Strength and Temperance are also titled “the Strength” and “the Temperance,” despite Death, Judgment, and Justice remaining titled as normal.
With the cons out of the way, on to the pros. The production quality of this deck is quite good, especially at this price point. The card stock is thick, matte finish, with a very slight texture to it that makes it slide overhand very nicely. I can also riffle it, though not bridge it with the stiffness of the cards. The gold gilding is pretty, not too sharp, though I haven’t handled the deck enough to know how it would hold up over time. The two-piece box is sturdy, attractive, and fits the deck and guidebook snugly.
Overall, the deck is made well, and its attractive colors and pretty art style will definitely appeal to some readers. However, for me, it feels like it's traveling the path the Light Seer’s already blazed, even repeating the same shortcomings, such as lack of age and body diversity. It's definitely worth closely checking out both decks before making a decision.

As someone who is a sucker for all things sparkly and shiny, it is nice looking down at the deck while shuffling in the sun light or candle light and seeing the golden glimmer dance along the edge of the cards as the cards slip through my fingers. Which, by the way, the feel of the deck both physically and energetically is very inviting and is a good fit for me.
The cards are about the size of your average tarot deck – very familiar; for those of us with smaller hands and finger spans, it is a fit we have had (or are learning) to adapt to. I am still learning the symbolism and imagery style, but have had a wonderful time doing so thus far. The images are beautiful to look at and are fun to decipher, plus the included pocketbook gives a lot of information but not the whole enchilada. You still have to work for it.
Great quality cardstock, printing, even the book is of good quality. Wonderful deck to add to the collection. This would be a perfect gift for the budding reader or even for someone who just wants to dabble.
Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons to help you decide if this deck is right for you:
Pros:
Visually Appealing: The cards are many reviewers find them beautiful, with nature-inspired themes that weave in classic Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism [YouTube video about Wild Reflections Tarot Deck].
Beginner-Friendly: The cards have keywords and meanings directly on them, which can be helpful for those new to tarot [Amazon Wyspell Tarot for Learning].
Includes Guidebook: The 200-page guidebook offers extensive information on the meanings of the cards, different spreads you can use for readings, and interpretations based on astrology, chakras, and other belief systems [Amazon Wyspell Tarot for Learning].
Cons:
Card Stock: While some reviewers find the card stock to be smooth and easy to shuffle, others consider it on the thinner side [YouTube video about Wild Reflections Tarot Deck].
Reversed Card Issue: There appears to be a printing error where The Moon and The Star cards are reversed. The creators have provided new interpretations and a print-out to address this, but some find it inconvenient [Etsy Wild Reflections Tarot Deck].
Overall, the Wild Reflections Tarot Deck is a beautiful and beginner-friendly option for those interested in exploring tarot. The keywords on the cards and the comprehensive guidebook make it easy to learn the meanings of the cards. However, the thinner card stock and the reversed card printing error might be a turnoff for some.

One of the standout features is the golden edges of the cards, which add a touch of elegance and sophistication, and the cards are well-made. The set comes with a small booklet that provides detailed explanations of each card, both upright and reversed, which is incredibly helpful for those who are new to tarot, offering clear and concise interpretations that make it easy to start reading right away.
Overall, I am very happy with this set. It’s beautifully designed, beginner-friendly, and comes with a comprehensive guide that makes learning tarot a joy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start their tarot journey or add a lovely new set to their collection!
