Product Description

The Sequel to the award winning X²: The Threat introduces a new 3D engine as well as a new story, new ships and a new gameplay to greatly increase the variety in the X-universe. The economy of X³: Reunion is more complex than anything seen in the X-universe before. Factories are being built by NPCs, wars can affect the global economy, NPCs can trade freely and pirates behave far more realistically.

    Quick review of an enjoyable game:

    Pros:
    * good keyboard controls (or modifiable if you prefer different ones)
    * solid AI - the universe goes on without you (trade, combat, etc.)
    * game-internal "fast forward" ship add-on for longer stretches of space
    * visuals

    Cons:
    * repetitive dialog
    * broken "features" (ex: repairing your ship while away from a space port)

    There's an X3 wiki online that's insanely useful for vetting trade prices and ships. If you enjoy space simulators, I would highly recommend this game - you can pretty much choose any career path you want - pirate, trader, trade empire owner, mercenary, etc..
