The original XCOM is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made and has now been re-imagined by the strategy experts at Firaxis Games. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will expand on that legacy with an entirely new invasion story, enemies and technologies to fight aliens and defend Earth.
You will control the fate of the human race through researching alien technologies, creating and managing a fully operational base, planning combat missions and controlling soldier movement in battle.

- Strategic Base: Recruit, customize and grow unique soldiers and manage your personnel. Detect and intercept the alien threat as you build and expand your XCOM headquarters.
- Tactical Combat: Direct soldier squads in turn-based ground battles and deploy air units such as the Interceptor and Skyranger.

Outfit your soldiers with specialized armor upgrades including the new Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits. Customize your soldiers’ appearances with a variety of colors and tints for all armor sets.
Note: The Elite Soldier Pack was included in the pre-purchase offer of XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
X-COM: Apocalypse
There's something evil in the city tonight...
Earth has been ravaged by human excess, petty conflict and alien invasion. The world's population has been herded into huge cities, the first of which was Mega Primus.
2084: A Utopia shattered, social collapse and civil unrest reigns in Mega Primus. Fiendish aliens terrorize the city. UFOs swarm through Dimensional Gateways. The city's under siege from an unknown enemy.
Your mission, as X-COM Commander, is to combat alien aggression and uncover their deadly intentions. But Beware! Alien infiltration into the city and its politics could see you under fire from criminal gangs, religious sects, and even the police!
Alien fleets fill the skies, creatures terrorize the city, chaos reigns... Welcome to the war, welcome to the Apocalypse.

- Combat the alien infestation in real-time or turn-based tactical missions.
- Research alien-based technology. Create newer and more destructive weaponry.

X-COM: Enforcer
X-COM: Earth's top-secret eXtraterrestrial COMbat unit
The Place: America - early 21st century
The Mission: Eradicate the extraterrestrials
Alien forces have invaded Earth and are terrorizing the population. To combat this sinister threat, a lone X-COM scientist has created the Enforcer, a high-tech fighting machine made of earthly robotics and scavenged alien technology.
Armed with the latest high-powered weapons, the Enforcer is sent into alien hot spots to fight in adrenaline-charged battles that rage on city streets, across rooftops and in the sewers. YOU are the Enforcer.
Powered by the same game engine as Unreal Tournament™, X-COM ENFORCER™ puts you on the front line of an alien attack.
X-COM: Interceptor
They're back...only this time the heinous aliens are out to destroy Earth and rule the new frontier. As X-COM commander, it's your sole duty to protect humanity and the prized mining operations in outer space. You must strategically equip your X-COM fighters, amass a formidable arsenal and then fulfill your mandate by going head-to-head with the devious element. The action is fast. And the opposing forces are wicked. But if you are smart, diligent and quick, you will prevail in a masterfully fought campaign to save our planet from perilous collapse.
Features:
- Wreak complete destruction in an addictive and seamless combination of combat action and strategy.
- Mastermind your plan by purchasing equipment, hiring pilots and researching new technologies.
- Pilot your own X-COM attack ship in a face-to-face 3D real-time first person environment.
X-COM: Terror from the Deep
The war continues... X-COM: UFO Defense brought you to a galactic battlefield. X-COM: Terror from the Deep brings the alien terror into a totally new dimension.
Seeking to take advantage of a weakened Earth, X-COM's deep space foes unexpectedly change strategy and launch a powerful second front against planet Earth.
In the dark depths of vast oceans, long sleeping forces are awakened by reanimation signals sent out across the galactic silence by their interstellar brothers and sisters. Slowly but surely, an army of hibernating alien sea creatures awakens. Your combat now extends to the strange new worlds of the deep where superior alien technologies threaten the very survival of this planet - your planet - Earth.
- Sequel to the hugely successful X-COM: UFO Defense
- Actual undersea geoscape mapping system with rich topographic detail
- Full array of undersea military technology
- Rich graphics feature water coloration and wrecks
- Multilevel tactical maps featuring both underseascapes and buildings
- Alien encyclopedia features mutation technology and new watery denizens
X-COM: UFO Defense
You are in control of X-COM: an organization formed by the world's governments to fight the ever-increasing alien menace.
Features:
- Command deadly close-combat battles:
Shooting down UFOs is just the beginning: you must then lead a squad of heavily-armed soldiers across different terrains as they investigate the UFO crash site. Tackle the aliens with automatic rifles, rocket launchers, and even tanks in the struggle to retrieve useful technology, weapons or life forms. - Research and manufacture alien technologies:
Successful ground assault missions will allow X-COM scientists to analyze alien items. Each new breakthrough brings you a little closer to understanding the technology and culture of the alien races. Once you have sufficient research data on the UFO's superior weapons and crafts, you'll be able to manufacture weapons of equal capability. - Develop a strategy to save the Earth:
You must make every crucial decision as you combat the powerful alien forces. But you'll also need to watch the world political situation: governments may be forced into secret pacts with the aliens and then begin to reduce X-COM funding.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2013Xcom is a great series at any price. Getting it for super cheap is just icing on the cake
The first two are strategy classics; and quite frankly I personally even enjoyed Apocalypse ~ the third in the strategy series (the setting/story might throw off some die hard fans as the scope of the game at first appears "smaller" than the originals, but the actual depth of strategy is well done and over the years I think I've spent more time with apocalypse than any of the others)
Those 3 are all within storyline (taking place years apart) and are worth a play through for strategy fans.
Enforcer and interceptor are the weakest part of this bundle. They are in a completely different style; their only value here is that they are side story's to the original trilogy of strategy games. I would not pay for these alone, but am happy to get them here essentially as free throw ins, if you can stomach them they are worth a play through just for the story (as an xcom fan); but they won't hold the replay value of the other 3 originals.
I replay ufo defense, terror from the deep and apocalypse every couple of years and I'm happy to finally pick them up on steam so I can retire my disc copies.
I could stop there and say those 5 games were more than worth the purchase price of this bundle, they've already given me more than a decade of enjoyment and I see more play throughs of them in my future.
Now to the real value here: Xcom Enemy Unknown. Since this was a reboot and not a continuation of the story (as the others were) I didn't have the motivation to jump on this when it first came out. I'm very happy to get this at an amazing price and the fact it comes with the first two DLC packs is fantastic. I don't feel I can review EU fairly since I haven't put much time into it like the others yet, but from the little I've dabbled with it I am very satisfied.
The only thing not included here is Xcom Enemy Within; but to be fair that was just released this month and is just the expansion pack for enemy unknown.
Also not included is that "bureau of xcom" or whatever its called that I've seen mentioned in other reviews; but to be fair that's not technically part of this series and should never be included with the real xcom games. That company originally licenced the name xcom to do a reboot of the series (like enemy unknown) but ended up making something else entirely that has nothing to do with it and just kept xcom as part of the name for free publicity. Ignore bureau (at least if what you are looking for is xcom), its has nothing to do with these.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2014The last line of the description states that a Steam account is required for installation and activation. What it doesn't mention is that once installed, to play requires an internet connection and constant crashes and lack of support. There is supposed to be an offline mode, but in my experience so far you have to be online first to play offline - which makes absolutely no sense. Even when I select "start in offline mode," I get an error message that the game could not connect to Steam online. I bought this assuming I could play offline in a very rural area when I'm away from my PS3, but what sense does it make to select "offline mode" only to be told it can't start because I don't have an internet connection.
Worst purchase I've ever made from Amazon and I'll never use anything through Steam again.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2014I was unable to get them to run on my computer. It is to bad I was really looking forward to playing them.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2013Only game worth it here is the latest X-Com and I purchased it due to it bringing some of the DLC and it being a good deal. If this is not as cheap as purchasing the game separately I would not recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2014Being able to replay all of these game again is great. I see a few minor differences but the root of the games seems to be intact and they will run under Win7 without any issues. To anyone that hasn't played games running under DOS BOX if the screen gets minimized hold the ALT key and press enter that will put it back to full screen. Great to be able to get all these games for less the current one sells for by itself and its included in this pack. So Far All I can say is ITS Great!
Well I'm updating this with some new info I just reached the last game so this is a better overall look.
1. XCOM Defence worked fine some content seemed to be missing but over all still a good game.
2. XCOM Terror from the deep again some content seemed to be missing but over all still a good game.
3. XCOM Interceptor (I didn't like this game before and still don't Totally different engine and format trys to put you in direct control of one of the craft doesn't work well so I still don't like it).
4. XCOM Appocalapse, this one had a few problems; graphics would not adjust to the new resolutions I had to reduce my resolution to minimum settings and still had to run it in a window in to view the graphic correctly, also occasionally it would get a "put original CD back in drive" message and that would just lock the game up and you have to force close it and start from your last save so save frequently. still a great game though.
5. XCOM Enforcer, didn't much care for this one either its like they tried to move to a first person shooter game and after a short time I got stuck in a hole with no way out and gave up on it as it didn't catch my interest.
6. XCOM Enemy Within Just tried this last night and the graphics keep blinking on and off and then the game just crashes, this is the biggest disappointment as adding this to the 3 games I do like was expected to make it worth the price I paid, since this won't work at all I assume I'll have to wait till a patch comes out so it will run before I'll be able to play this last game kind of defeats the purpose of buying it now.
Over all though the 3 old games I can play again even on a win7 machine still make it worth while to me. Good hunting...
