Surprise! It did, I play Project Cars 2 and a few older games like Portal 2 and BioShock Infinite. This card was able to play all the games I wanted at the highest settings. Fast forward about two months and I start having problems with the system crashing as I am trying to play. We try a few things and the problem continues. XFX offers to RMA the card. I send it to them and wait, the day after the receive it they test it and there find not faults. Feeling like I am going to have to dive into my system further to find the problem, they make me happy saying they are going to replace the card anyway. Now the problem comes into play.
The card I sent them was a RX-560P4SFGR. Claiming they match the specs of the card through their RMA process they send me back a similar card the RX-560D4SFGR. This is not an equal card it has a slower clock speed and turbo speed, less texture mapping units, and less compute units, resulting in at a minimum 10% worse graphical performance. I tried contacting them to understand how they define similar cards and nothing for now a week.
XFX I was thrilled with my experience up to this point. Getting a card back that is less capable than the one that was sent in is not okay. I will likely not get the same performance out of the card I am getting back. This is no longer customer service, this is about screwing me over because I could not figure out what was wrong with my system.
XFX finally got back to me on their replacement card policy and stated that this was a human error and that they would send me back an appropriate replacement free of charge. They emailed me a FEDEX label and asked me to ship it out to them. I have done so and will be thrilled when I get the card back that I am supposed to.
While this is a welcome turn of events, I am still averaging 4-6 days before I get a response to my ticket in the tech support system with XFX. Making good on your policy is a start, next response time should be improved.
