DirectX 12 Technology
DirectX 12 takes your game to a whole new level. By tapping into all the cores of your multicore CPU simultaneously, DirectX 12 boosts the amount of work that can be sent to the graphics card – and gets it done in less time. Plus, DirectX 12 allows your GPU to run multiple tasks at once, so you save rendering time, reduce latency, and get more frames per second. Two revolutionary features in DirectX 12 are driving these innovations: multi-threaded command buffer recording and asynchronous shaders.

Gaming has been great. I paired my new card with an LG 1440p, 144hz monitor. While I can't quite hit 144 fps on most games, I have been consistently getting to 100, which looks absolutely stunning in games. I'm more than happy with the performance.
Regarding some of the major complaints, I've actually have had very few issues with my card. Drivers haven't been as much of a problem as some people have made them out to be. The fan did ramp up once, and it was decently loud, but definitely not loud enough to be heard through my noise canceling headphones.
Some Random information.
There are a bunch of different brands selling this card, but the only difference is the packaging. Partner cards with custom cooling don't come until August, so unless you want a slick looking box (Sapphire's is the best imo) go ahead and order whichever one is in stock at the moment. If you've had success with a particular brand's customer service, that might also be a good reason to go with one over another (in case you have to do a return or something).
XFX says the card requires a minimum of 600 watts, but I've had zero issues running it on a 550 watt Bronze-rated EVGA power supply. I do only have one mechanical drive however (no CD drive), so my computer is less power hungry than the average PC.
This card doesn't come with any cables (which is normal), but it does include a 6-pin to dual Molex adapter, and an 8-pin to dual 6-pin adapter.
In closing, I would highly recommend this card to anyone that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for 1440p gaming. If you really don't like blowers and you must have dual or triple fan style, maybe wait for partner cards. I think the card is good enough to warrant a purchase now though and I'm more than happy with the looks and performance of mine.
Lots of driver issues already, they get fixed, but annoying for now.
The blower is stupid loud tho, it doesn't bother me up to about 60%, but I bumped it to 100% just to see and, just wow. Don't do that. At normal fan speeds it seems to things around 80-85 under load. Toasty, but my r9 290 survived like 6 years pegged at 90c. I'm not worried.
Watch Gamers Nexus or something for a full rundown.
Quite a bit smaller than my old card, which is handy, and there's no actual tradeoff in temps for me, but presumably the third party designs will do better, because blowers are silly and awful. It's like they just want to leave something for third parties to do. I'd have preferred a Sapphire card, but not enough to wait for one and, may buy a kit later.
* The overlay that shows temp/speed/voltage goes away after a few minutes in a game (leaving a pixelated splotch where it used to be)
* Streaming a steam game (AC Origins) to an Oculus Quest via Virtual Desktop (which worked with a 480) stops after a minute in game and Virtual Desktop’s error suggests updating video drivers.
* Very good FPS/$.
* Streams Amazon Prime video to a Quest via Virtual Desktop like a champ (built in support for the HEVC compression).
* “Auto-undervolt” in WattMan lowers temps by 4-6 degrees while increasing performance (in TimeSpy benchmark).
* When not wearing over-ear headphones, you definitely notice the blower noise.
* Drivers need a few updates (see above)
* No sign of getting the 3 months of Xbox Game Pass that some people are getting when buying 5700 XTs from other retailers.
* Without undervolting, temperatures at load get up to 83 degrees Celsius (for reference, CPU in the same case isn’t going over 57).
Probably wisest to wait for versions of this card that come with 3rd party coolers (sometime in August) - especially if you don’t use over-ear headphones.

Card still working fine, constantly running games in 4K at 60fps, no issues and still quiet.
One day, after about an hour half of gaming on a 4 year title that the card should've eaten for breakfast, the monitors showed no input even though the PC was still running. I switched off the system safely and turned it back on (the age old tried and true method.) The picture was restored but was loading games very slowly. After a further 30 mins of gaming the monitors showed no input once again and the card suddenly became very loud, spitting out heat from the back of the case like a hairdryer on crack.
After it had finished nearly melting my wallpaper, I turned off the system and turned it back on. No picture whatsoever.
After taking it into a repair shop they confirmed that the card had broken and burnt out. The card was two weeks old. Refunded and replaced with an RTX 2070 which is working like a dream.
Yes games still drop under 60 at times, don;t let people fool you that that is not a thing. but it only happens in mmo's and that is more to do with loads of players around! Other than that usually over 120.
Only complaint I have is unlike my previous AMD card it only displays to my second monitor on boot! This maybe becuase I changed to the port before the hdmi. Probably not though as my old one displayed to both. Still DP has priority above HDMI I guess. Just means looking right a bit during boot though.
Right now this seems the best card for cost/performance is you want AMD (and I do!)
edit: Installed it wrong, works fine :D
#1:The relive is trash doesnt record sound nor the screen
#2:its extremely loud and heating agressively i have 5 be quiet fans in my case to have great airflow and still on idle in a room shere is 21C the tempteture its having 61C in game hits mid 90's
So i dont reccomend this
Case super areato....io monto 7 ventole in air flow.
