The chin-up/pull-up bar works the arms and back, push-ups place focus on your chest, while the vertical knee raise station targets your core and abs. Building time was about 1hr 45min for me. I read the instructions and followed everything it said, including not tightening the bolts with more then my hands until all pieces were assembled. Then I used adjustable wrenches and started from the bottom up tightening every bolt and screw, DONT OVER TIGHTEN. The diagram was constructed well and every piece was accounted for in the packaging. It weighs just under 100 lbs. (probably why it's so sturdy) and the screws and bolts are massive. I have no doubt it is built to last. The cardboard box that it arrived in was packaged great, not an overwhelming amount of pieces.
This fitness tower really impresses me, I am looking forward to buying more XMark equipment.
EDIT: The leg holder for sit-ups are great! I have used it many times at this point.Read more ›
First "slight" problem It was too short so I would have to pick up my knees to get off the ground.
Second real problem, the bar behind the back pad slammed into my knees every time I pulled up which couldn't be avoided because I would otherwise be touching the ground. (sorry for the run on sentence)
Third problem it rocked way too much and I had to have my wife help stabilize by standing on the "push up bars"
The dip bar was ok and the pad was comfortable but the sit up rollers and the "push up bar" were useless.
The box was extremely heavy but very well packaged. The product carton was inside another box for shipping. Both were banded and very well secured. Unlike reviews for other pull up stations, the packaging was in perfect condition when it arrived at my doorstep. I used a hand truck to wheel it into the room where it would be assembled. (Did I say it was heavy?.... It was really heavy.)
Inside The Box:
After opening the box, the items inside were also well insulated. Each piece was wrapped in cardboard and/or plastic to prevent scratching during transit. Nothing had been tossed around inside the carton due to the perfect seating of all the parts inside. Well done, XMark!!
Assembly was VERY EASY. I simply followed the directions to the letter and hand tightened every nut, screw and bolt until I had it all assembled. I compared my assembly with the image in the instruction assembly manual and then tightened the bolts with a socket wrench and pliers. It took me all of about an hour and a half to two hours alone to complete. And when it was done, of course I gave it a stability test. Nothing on the station moved (I am 5' 11 and I weigh about 198 lbs) Now, I have this sitting on rubber mats and there is some movement because of that, but it is minimal and gives no rise for concerns of safety. This is a very stable piece of equipment.
1. Because of the weight, I highly recommend that two people move the box otherwise you could damage your flooring or, worse hurt yourself.
2. Assemble the station in the room you plan on using it. Once assembled, it is large and heavy and you will not be able to move it through standard size doorways.

I am 5'10 and about 190 pounds. I do pull ups and hang on the top bar just for stretching and this unit is sturdy and stable.
I've never noticed any thoughtlessness with this units design.
I am a single guy so I placed this unit in a prominent location. I can decide at the spur of the moment to do pull ups or dips or stomach crunches. This is a great unit for doing stomach crunches by bringing the knees up while resting my arms on the comfortable pads. I love doing dips on the front of the gym and there is no other way to do dips without going to a gym.

I purchased this exercise station from Amazon almost three years ago and I'm still extremely happy with my purchase. Read morePublished 22 days ago by B. Spahn
Ridiculous that they didnt make it at least 4 or even 6 inches taller so that at 6 feet tall I would not be able to stand on the floor at the same time as I grab the pullup bar. Read morePublished 1 month ago by TSP@JCSU
Great to set up in the garage and have an easy way to do some quick but effective exercise. For the price and free shipping (very heavy), this is awesome. Easy to set up. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Baymate

Love it! I have it in my garage! I'm still using the pull-up assist bands but I'm getting better each day!! That's what counts, right? Working my abs like crazy, too, which I love! Read morePublished 3 months ago by Little Bit
Does the job. Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the nuts/bolts are in poor positions and it's easy to scrape yourself while doing pullups. Read morePublished 5 months ago by acosmichippo
I have had this for almost 2 years now. I am 5' 11" and It gives me plenty of clearance for pull ups. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Sam24and48
This is an amazing purchase for the price that Amazon sells and ships it. The unit is tall, strong and sturdy. We use it for two people, both overly tall, and one overly heavy. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Amazon Customer
