I am posting this as a "3-star" review due to some inconsistencies with the product and packaging I received when I ordered this product.
All of the packaging and documentation included with this charger indicated that it was a "10 watt" charger (unlike the 15 watt as advertised in the product description) and the mounting area (where the phone attaches to the charger) appears to be a different pattern/design (it doesn't have the cutouts on the sides and top/bottom).
I have a very thin, non-metal case, and I am unable to charge through the case - it appears that the "10 watt" charger just isn't able to charge the phone unless it is directly next to the phone. Along with that, unless the 'UNIVERSAL MAGNETIC CARD FOR SMARTPHONES for Qi-enabled Smartphones" (which I had to order directly from XVIDA) was the closest contact surface to this charger, it just didn't have the magnetic power to hold the phone.
So - here's the total problem: I can't use a case (because it won't charge when the case is on), and even if I could, I'd have to attach the 'UNIVERSAL MAGNETIC CARD FOR SMARTPHONES for Qi-enabled Smartphones' from XVIDA to the outside of the case.
I'll keep this product, and maybe even bump up the rating if I'm able to figure out some sort of resolution to my issues.
Update #1 (June 21):
The customer service team at XVIDA reached out to me today to resolve one of my issues (10 watt charger vs. 15 watt charger). It appears that the advertised product depicted the most recent hardware upgrade of the product, but Amazon was still shipping the older version (which I received). The company has offered to swap my older charger for the most recent one. I've bumped this up to a "4-star" review because of the customer service, and will re-evaluate my rating once I receive the new charger and have a chance to test it out.
Update #2 (June 25):
XVIDA directly shipped the correct charger to me this past weekend, and I had the opportunity to try it out during an extensive road trip. The newest model adds 4 rubber bumpers that help hold the phone to the charger (keeping it from sliding) - and the magnets 'might' be stronger to hold the phone in place. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, and it is now charging faster than the first model that was sent to me (15w vs 10w). I can successfully run display and GPS intensive apps and at least maintain the current battery charge (if not increase the charge). The customer service for this product was great! If you have any difficulties, reach out to them - I'm sure they will do their best to make it right!
