Don't take the movie seriously and just enjoy Ice Cube as XXX

State of the Union was the second XXX film. It was basically a vehicle for Ice Cube to be the new XXX and act like a bad ass.

The story begins with the National Security Agency being under attack and Agent Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson) seeking out Darius Stone (Ice Cube) to be his new XXX and find out what happens. That allows Cube to beat people up, blow stuff up, crash boats, and other fun action sequences. He also gets to talk a lot of smack and cop an attitude. There’s plenty of jokes along the way as well.

If you don’t take the movie seriously it is a lot of fun and might even be better than the first XXX.

I just did a double triple X. First the 2017 earlier today and now the 2005. They both have great action and violence. With State Of The Union I saw a train and a car go over 200 MPH. That is a great pursuit. That isn't the only pursuit in this movie. There is lots of punching and kicking in SOTU. There is lots of shooting. There is lots of explosions. I wished that I had seen the 2005 before the 2017. After I got into this one I quit that thinking. So earlier I was directed by an Amazon Prime Video email and for this one I used the first in the list PEOPLE WHO WATCHED THIS MOVIE WATCHED... And I landed at this older and I have XXX in my personal library in this apartment. I haven't watched it in over 9 years.

I thought this was a great sequel. It has plenty of action, special effects, and comedy. Ice Cube breathes new life into the xXx series.

Others may disagree, but I thought XXX: State of the Union was a great action movie; it had everything I want in this kind of thriller, and there's nothing more enjoyable than getting to the truth of a vast conspiracy - especially when the path is filled with as many explosions as the filmmakers can pack into 100 minutes. It's true that a lot of innocent civilians and a fair share of good guys are killed in the process, but this is just a movie -a wildly entertaining one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
