Transfer was seamless and this comes with everything you need to make the transfer (DVD and cable). Games installed from DVD do not transfer (they have to be reinstalled) but items downloaded from Games on Demand/Store all make the transfer as do saved games.
For the price, this is much cheaper than upgrading to the new slim 360s.
This thing is exactly what I needed. I download alot of tv shows from Xbox Live. I also download a ton of Xbox Live Arcade Games, a lot of downloadable content to expand my games, and I also purchase full games. My 120 gig hd was always full. That wont be an issue now. This couldnt have come at a better time. Lots of big releases from last year are now getting lots of new content and that takes storage. If your a serious gamer and do a lot of downloading buy this NOW!
More storage for gamers like me who like to install their games to their hdd.
Won't get you banned from xbox live. Not too long ago, there was a massive ban for people using non-microsoft hard drives.
The instructions on transferring data and installing the new hdd were quick and easy.
Only one I can think of is price.
For those who want a relative description of how much space is available, Here's a breakdown of what I've installed thus far:
Mass Effect 2 (2 discs)
Mass Effect DLC (Zaeed, Lair of The Shadow Broker, Normandy Crash Site, weapon packs)
Borderlands add-ons (don't remember the names)
Fallout 3 Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Operation Anchorage, Mothership Zeta, and I think 1 more
Final Fantasy XIII (3 discs)
Ninja Gaiden 2
Dead or Alive
Halo 3 map packs (4, I think)
After all this (plus saves for all the various games), I still have around 140 gigs to spare, so this was a must-buy for me.
