Now for a word on my experience with x-box products over the last 10 years or so. I have owned 2 original x-box and 2 x-box 360 consoles, the one mentioned above being the 2nd 360. The 3 before this most recent 360 were used when I bought them and all had problems with the disc tray getting stuck. The first 360 had a major issue in that the wired controller (used) that came with it would suddenly stop working and I would get a "please reconnect controller" message even though it was clearly still plugged into the USB port and the "break away" cable was still fully connected. If I messed with the cord long enough I could get it to work again. Finally I couldn't get it to work again so I bought a brand new controller and it worked perfectly until the console quit working, which worked for about a year or so under pretty heavy use. I am using that same wired controller on this most recent 360 and after the first month of error free use I have started getting the "please reconnect controller" message about once a week, even though it doesn't last for more than about a second it is still annoying. Time will tell if this console will continue to perform at a tolerable level seeing how as best i can remember it's listed condition was "Like New". I have never used a wireless controller and don't want to start doing so, I just don't have the money to keep replacing batteries, or controllers at wireless prices should they decide to crap-out.
The Elder Scrolls Skyrim Legendary Edition that I bought brand new 3 months ago has frozen up 3 times, not sure if this is a console or disc problem but it is frustrating none the less. 2 or 3 Elder scrolls Morrowind games (used) for original x-box used to freeze up on both original x-box consoles.
The only reason I keep buying x-box products is because they are significantly lower in price than Play Stations. I have owned a Playstation 2(bought used) for probably 14 years or so and have never had a problem with a controller "disconnecting" or the disc tray not opening or closing, nor can I remember a game(all used when bought best I can remember) freezing up. Perhaps I have just had bad luck with x-box stuff, or great luck in that I got a PS 2 that was built to perform well and for a long time
