First off let me say quality is important. Its the most important. You get that here. The controller is durable and does well if accidentally dropped which works well if used by children. The buttons do not stick and it fits the shape of your hand very well for optimal gameplay and performance. Great responsiveness when buttons are pressed and sticks are moved no lag between controller and console which is great considering its a wireless device. Works great with any mic just about although i would recommend you dont go the ten dollar direction because i bought a ten dollar mic and it had a loose connection to every controller i used it on wireless and wired but back to the review. The charge kit charges surprisingly fast through the console and can be used with a usb wall adapter or any usb port but going that direction will cause it to charge slower. All and all the kit is a great buy and i must say if you have kids its a good value fir a birthday present or if they are just into xbox 360.

There's not much to say about a controller but I just want people to know that this is a good investment. We had two old controllers that were wearing down and needed replaced so that was the main reason we got this one (and a red one). The other reason being that we wanted a play and charge because we were tired of dealing with batteries. Although we did use rechargeable batteries in our old controllers, it still was just a hassle. This controller is great and so far has held it's charge for a long time. What's nice is that when the charge is running low, you just plug it into the XBOX 360 and keep playing. The cord is long enough to reach from our TV to the couch which is obviously a plus. If you still want to use batteries, it does come with an extra back for use with batteries.

So i got this for my uncle to replace his other older controller and it works just fine and as expected but the charging cord that came with it doesn't work. Idk if i can get a new one that actually does work or not but that would be nice.

Considering you get a name brand Microsoft controller and a plug-n-play battery for $50, there's really not much to complain about with this deal. There's really not much to complain about anyways, as it turns out that this is exactly what you would get from MS for much cheaper.
The charge lasts for a long time, and you can just plug it into your 360 (or your PC) overnight if the battery begins to run low. No inconvenience whatsoever. Instead of buying another wireless controller, you might as well get this instead.

An easy way to save the extra batteries in the house for other items. The controller is charged via the XBOX provided USB port and the cable is 9 feet long, enough to stretch to either sofa in my living room. As stated, you can indeed play while the controller charges. Long story short, it is very convenient and the kids don't have to salvage the extra batteries from the TV remote to play and was still $10 cheaper to buy here than it was in any of the local stores, even after shipping! It is also not the ugly white color so it can hide in the entertainment center.

The controller itself has been great, 5 Stars for that itself. The Charge kit isnt so great though, first it wasnt charging. Once that is fixed I thought everything was ok, but after charging it once it doesnt seem to charge the same anymore.
When the battery charges it gets REALLY hot. It took nearly 7-8hrs for it to charge when the battery was supposedly at "medium". Then after it was "done" charging, it barely said full for about an hour. Now its saying Medium and seemed to have diminished faster than usual.
I have a friend that uses the Quick charger kit and doesnt have these problems. Also after some reading around it seems these Plug & Charge cables just arent the best way to charge your battery. Now Im not pissed, so I'm not dropping many stars. But it does indeed suck.
Over all, if you can catch it for $45 or less(I got it at $40) than I say go for it. I'd recommend the Quick Charger kit over the Plug & Charge though. The battery itself seems fine as long as I dont use the PnC on it anymore. So with that said...
Black 360 Controller = AWESOME!! PnC kit = bad :\.

If you have a wireless controller for your XBox 360, you absolutely have to get this accessory. I can't tell you how many times my batteries have died in the middle of a match. Since getting this adapter, as soon as I see the lights on the controller flash, I can plug this in and keep playing. I would advise leaving it plugged in to the back of the XBox, coiled up and ready to go for those times when you are in COD or Halo3 and the heat is on and your batteries decide to crap the bed.

Update: the price seems to have gone back up. I also have an annoying issue with this controller. When using the controller the right thumbstick makes squeaky noises like it needs some grease or something. Very annoying, and not something that happens with my other 360 controller.

Got the controller and it works as advertised - as it should. Battery charges quickly with the included cable. Price seems a bit high, but it is at least cheaper than buying them separately now.
