It was time for a brand new controller! I chose this one as it was a plug and play for only 40$, you can't beat it. The d-pad feature is pretty cool, although I have no use for it. The d-pad itself has a nice little cold touch to it cause it's a chrome plated d-pad. I loved the new thumb sticks, as it has a resemblance to the new xbox one controllers! Great feel and traction! Came with an extra battery pack for normal batteries, with the plug n play pack. For a plug and play it doesn't get much cheaper than this! Overall great quality and feel to this controller... Look no further, since you might only need this to get you by til you buy an xbox one:)

Well, after my original controller that came with my Xbox 360 started to wear away, I found myself in need of a new one. Not only that, but I was also tired of having to buy batteries over and over again so I decided to get this one. The D-Pad is pretty cool, but hasn't really changed much for me, but the controller handles just fine anyway, and I've had the charge kit for a few months now and it also works just fine, it seems like I haven't used batteries in forever. The only problem with the charge kit I have is that when you want to play AND charge at the same time if you have a mic plugged into your controller you'll hear some "buzzing" in your headset and others will hear it when you talk, but it's not really that annoying and not all that loud so I can deal with it. Great buy if you need a new controller or are looking for an alternative instead of buying batteries.

Microsoft has always made decent hardware, but they've always made some darn good controllers. For those of us with bigger hands, wider grips, this controller feels more at home than other competitor variants. The device works as intended, but there are some cons that have to do with accessories. But first the pros.

    Pros:
Comes with 2x batter compartments. One with rechargeables built in and one that you can use your own batteries in.
    Comes with charging cord.
Is easy to handle with larger hands.
Buttons * joy sticks / d-pad all feel and hold up solidly even after vigorous use.
Huge list of compatible games that require little or no tweaking.
    EVERLASTING battery life.

    Cons:

DOES NOT INCLUDE WIRELESS DONGLE. BAD MICROSOFT, BAD.
If you buy a dongle you must install it. Plug and play does not always work. If by chance that dongle was purchased from a 3rd party to save money, you have to play around with the driver files under the device manager before it will work.

I bought this for myself. It may give you a ridiculous shipping date, but it usually gets to you between 5-10 business days. Mine was ordered on monday, got it on friday. It does have to charge when you recieve it. Which is no big deal. This controller at walmart is 60. Play'n'charge Kit is 20. 90 for both including tax. I got this off amazon for 67 dollars. Which is a great value for a great product. AA Batteries do not last long in these, which is why a play'n'charge kit is necessary. Third party products are usually cheaper but made poorly. I love the fact that this is way cheaper, for the same product you'll usually get in the store for 90 dollars. Must have for a daily Xbox 360 gamer.

I waited a while to buy one to use on my PC and wow... Amazon you could help and suggest that you need the wireless receiver in LARGE TEXT because I was caught totally unaware and I do medium amounts of research on all products I purchase but a friend had recommended this to me as he says its an awesome way to play some games on PC. Totally deceiving that this will work without the Xbox wireless receiver. Then come to find out the wireless receiver can't be bought alone anymore. Sure you can get one with a controller. But see I just bought this controller here so all I need is the receiver. OK, well i guess that's still OK because there are 2nd party receivers but oops the comments say on them that they are weak on responsiveness to faulty - and all including the ms branded one can cause problems with power consumption. Is it really that hard to just get a *!@ &*$#@ controller for my PC?

Good controller, good feel. I like the controller compared to the other brands I have . This is the second xbox 360 controller I have and both started to drift mostly to the right within a short time of usage. It is very noticeable when playing war games and you are scoping and aiming. It is mainly the left stick only. Both controllers are the same, one is a couple weeks old and the other is about six months. There are complaints all over the internet about this problem and so far there is no fix for it. People have tried different things with rubber bands. I can't believe with all the technology out there and so many complaints that there is no fix. I have ordered AAA-Shocks (Analogstick Aim Assistance Shock Absorbers and from the looks of them, I think I am 99% sure this will take care of that problem because they fit around the stick to increase the resistance and I am hopeing that they will bring the stick back to a neutral position. I will report on the AAA's if they indeed work.

This is a high quality product for a great price. Yes, you can buy those 24 packs of AA batteries for around $20, but why waste that extra money when you have a controller that has recharging batteries while you play? Plus, the controller design is very high quality, and has not worn down since I got it a few months ago. That is the sign of a high quality product. Quick shipping as well. Highly recommend buying from this seller!
