There are a lot of people complaining about the price and saying that they refuse to pay that kind of money for a controller yet these controllers are almost sold out. I figured that there would be so much in stock because of all the complaints but I guess not. For all of you waiting to buy this on Black Friday and hoping that it will be cheaper, I hope there are still some left for you guys.
By the way if you guys are looking to buy this controller right now, I recommend Gamestop or ordering it on Microsoft's website. This way you will actually be paying $200. Amazon is selling it for $300 which is a rip off and eBay is selling it for $300-$400 which is even a bigger rip off.
Back to the controller, I would say that honestly, I only bought it because I wanted it for my collection. Between the elite and the regular controller, there isn't a huge difference. Which again, I'm glad I didn't buy the black elite controller when it first came out. Basically the only difference is that the elite is a little heavier and you have the 4 triggers on the back. You can assign any button on the controller to these triggers so basically those triggers are just duplicate buttons. In my opinion, I don't see where the elite controller is so special. An elite controller does not increase your chances of winning or being better than others. It's more of a preference of where you would like each button to be.
Bottom line is that this controller is great for a fan/collector. Otherwise if you are looking to buy an elite, either save $50 and get the black one or save even more by just getting a regular $60 controller.
