Wonderful product, I use mine for old school emulation and even a few fresh games on Steam. Regardless, if you're on the fence about this product let me give you the highlights:
• Durable as advertised.
• Wonderful price point.
• Authentic feel.

I'm not a professional gamer by any means but this controller has already brought me through Shovel Knight and Super Meat Boy. My only complaint is needing a ps/2 controller to remap the keys- the default key setup is odd but I've found a cursor key +q,w,e,r,a,s,d,f,z,x, setup to work for damn near everything.

Great product guys, I look forward to many more game days!

With adapters to accommodate any system and simple configurations, this will give any type of box a classic retro arcade feel. It is as solid of a product as they come, and is marketed as "indestructible" meaning this -- if it breaks, the manufacturer will service it as an arcade game and will send needed parts and instructions. After a little research though, I came to a conclusion that some people may find disappointing: these things are not that difficult to build from scratch in the first place. If you're even an amateur do it yourselfer you may want to go that route instead.

I've had two X-Arcade Solos for nearly 8 years now and they're--without question--the most durable, exceptionally crafted, arcade-authentic units in existence. My twin Solos are a mainstay at household tournaments and are performance kings in every arena, from golden-age arcade throwbacks; to Gen-X classics, like X-men vs. Street Figther; to the latest AAA releases, like 2016's Street Fighter V. Kudos to X-Gaming for a delivering superlative product.

First off the diagrams in the instructions don't match the product. And when you do an internet search to try to find more clearly written instructions, you see nearly everyone who's bought this piece of crap has had the same experience.

Because this is a one size fits all "solution" you'll have wires connected to more wires connected to an adapter that's connected to your PS3. The lights on the adapter will blink, and when you consult the poorly written instructions to figure out if the stick is synced for player 1, you'll remain in the dark; fear not, however, because the lights on the adapter, will continue blinking! You'll waste even more time, because you'll be determined to get the thing connected and synced. And in the end, you will fail.

The best thing I can say about this thing is at least it looks well made. I have been playing video games for 30 years and I've worked with computer hardware and software for almost as long, and rarely have I found a more poorly conceived and executed POS.

If you want a great stick for the PS3 and your computer, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I'm considering the Hori Pro arcade stick should I ever hear back from X-Arcade's customer service reps with my RMA number and my refund.

Do yourself a favor, and don't buy this.

It's MADE IN CHINA. Yes, there is a money back guarantee but you will pick up all the shipping costs to return the thing. And the connection from the stick to the PS3 could not be more ill conceived - unless you like a bowl of spaghetti extending from the controller to the console.

If you're considering buying, I would suggest doing some research on any problems with this controller and your brand of console. If you want to use it for a PS3, stay away.

--------------UPDATE-----------------------------------

After admitting that there is "something clearly wrong" with the adapter that was shipped with the arcade stick, X-arcade still required that I pay the shipping to return the stick and adapter. It cost me roughly $20. So when you add it up, I've paid $30 (total shipping charges both ways) and possible a 15% restocking fee for a product that did not work out of the box, and a product I returned under their "money back guarantee." You might weigh this before you buy this product.

Big! Heavy! and Strong! But, anyway use this super device. It's totally natural feeling like an arcade game. I can recommend play with MAME, but it's very dangerous! You can't stop playing until morning (in fact, I couldn't) , and the excited 70's 80's memory revives. I wish all fan of the good old game will enjoy with this device.
