As others have mentioned the product image is not correct. It is a small very short cord with usb on the PC side and a female xbox input on the other. However it works great. The product never makes a claim to come with drivers, consequently it does not come with any. However, for those looking for drivers, here's a tip: google for xbcd or just visit [...] Using this cord and XBCD I was even able to get my original XBOX Fanatec Speedster Wheel working on my PC, and even change the axis and button mapping. Lap times in GPL went down already :-)
When I went looking for game controllers on the pc all I found was a bunch of playstation type controllers. When I found this controller adapter to allow me to use my original xbox controller on the computer, I was hopeful. I imediately bought it to use on my emulators and certain oyther games like resident evil 4. Once I installed the drivers for it, it became my favorite controller to use on the PC. P.S. Mine didn't come with the xbox extender, only the xbox to USB itself.
The product is exactly as advertised. I installed the drivers, connected it to my controller, plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. Some people complained that there was no XBox extender; mine came with one, but it's not like you need it. However, you will need drivers for your controller, and they can be found here (or any number of other sites too, I suppose): [...]
Its an adapter, it works no questions there, just plug it in and find the xbox driver, I also installed joy2key and that worked really well to. Only issue, wasnt an issue for me, was that it doesnt look like the picture, therer is no xbox extender splitter thing there. Not for me anyway, no biggy but you should know.
If you have an old original xbox controller lying around, get this adapter instead of one for the controller of a more modern console. It's MUCH cheaper and works just as well. I've gotten a lot of use out of this. Couldn't recommend it higher.
I picked this up so I could use my Xbox controller on my PC so I could play some emulator games. Once you get the drivers installed everything works perfectly.
The article works fine but is not what they advertised, that's not an extension for using on an Xbox besides the USB connectivity, just a short Xbox to USB cable, at least that's what I received. The article's picture is not even close to what it really is, a simple and short cable to connect to a USB port. I felt very disappointed when I opened the package.
