I have owned & Xcelite tools for more than 30 years. I love the hollow shafts of the PS120 set which allow for longer bolts and once you get use to the color coding, you can tell some one hand me that orangish red handled 7/32 (P7).

The set I just received only had the normal Xcelite plastic smell, which is a wonderful memory for me.

However I have noticed on new set I just received, the yellow handled 5/32 (P5) is extremely rusted around the end. Looks like the "chrome" is not on it. While I am not quite happy about that, I am going to see if I can clean that up without sending them back. Saw another set recently that was exactly the same... same 5/32 (P5) nut driver...

Maybe the should start to put desiccant in the plastic case to prevent moisture or maybe it's a manufacturing issue of that specific P5.

That is the only reason I did not give the set 5 stars.

I've had mine almost forever. A highly useful addition to the house tool kit. The black handle slips over the smaller drivers and makes it much more comfortable to apply force when dealing with recalcitrant nuts. A one-piece driver is a little more stable than a correspondingly-sized 1/4" socket, especially at odd angles. The drivers themselves are a nice compact size and can be used in all but the tightest of spaces. (An open-ended wrench set comes in handy for those, but the nut drivers are faster and grip the nut better in my opinion.)

Drawbacks? The black handle may become force-fitted to whatever driver one is using, but reversing the action with another nut or bolt generally clears that issue. My main peeve with this set is that, over the years, the clips in the plastic case which hold the individual nut drivers in place become too flexible and don't retain the drivers when closing the case. This took about ten or fifteen years of wear in my case, your mileage may vary. And it's easy to forget an individual driver sometimes, so remember to collect all the tools when a project is complete.

As with all useful tools, I have a tendency to use these for jobs that probably should use a heavier tool. Not a problem most of the time.

I would not recommend these for automotive use - a good socket set is probably better for that purpose - but for general household use these are hard to beat. Recommended.

I have been using a set like this for years (23 years) at work. I work as a maintenance Technician in a semiconductor factory. They get alot of daily use. The case is a little beat up after all that time, but the tools have survived well. I really like sets like these because they don't take up much space and you don't have to go digging through the box to find the right one, they are always all together in their case. I thought maybe it was time to get some for my home tool box. The quality of the tools did not seem to have changed over the years. Hopefully I will get the same use out of these that I have at work.

Clunky and imprecise, not as nice as my old version of these sockets. Don't seem to fit nuts and bolts as well. Handles have sharp edges. I don't like the flip box as much as the old two-part container. Seem overpriced for what they are. These are small and fit my toolbox, perhaps their biggest value. I might look for better quality options next time. I miss the set I lost.

These things literally smell like vomit!!! Time to change the plastic material. They work great for electronic items but, they leave you smelling like s&!t.

Very convenient set that is not too expensive as long as you are working with typical machine screws/small bolts that are Imperial (e.g., 5/16") head size. That said, the quality is not what I would expect from Xcelite. I've had an Xcelite nut driver set for 40 years that is of much better quality. I just needed something handy in the shop, and purchased the PS120. I haven't had it long, so there have been no failures, and I don't expect that there will be. However, you can look at the set and see that quality has suffered somewhat.

I feel that the fit and finish could be better for the price. The metal could be polished and chrome plated. At the very least all the molding marks should be removed so that the handles are smooth.

Would I buy them again? You bet.

Good looking set but changing the internal design of the gripping surface weakened the holding power. With my bare hand I managed to overturn the handle on the 5/16 wrench twisting it till the plastic handle broke away from the shaft.
I have another older set that still has the knurled internal end and it's still perfectly solid. Unfortunately it sat out in the barn and got rusty. Hence the reason the new purchase. I wish I'd have known the change prior - - - I'd be giving the set a 5 star rating.
