1. How does Bane's mask work?
Best imagination: It is reasonable to believe that Bane suffered terrible damage to his spine during his fight to defend Talia as she escaped. The doctors were able to save his life, but only by an operation consisting of extensive cervical fusion. The operation was not 100% successful and now causes Bane constant and excruciating pain. Bane now wears the mask in order to directly inhale a constant flow of anesthetic in order to make the pain bearable.
2. Does the mask fit me?
A: Yes, it's flexible, suit for all Adult.

I will say, however, that if you are too small this mask may not work out as well as it did for me. I am an average yet sizable guy, 5'10" 210 lbs. and I have a 7 1/4 size hat, and the mask fit really well. A few sizes in either direction should be fine. Beyond that it may be too tight or loose. Also the mask is really rigid and shipped a little mushed. I fixed it by balling up a towel and stuffed it inside to get its shape back. I shaved my head for the role (as you should if you're going to go all in), but the edges of mask were a little sharp. That's just how the excess rubber was cut off. I remedied this by using a knife and metal file to make sure the rim wasn't sharp and made it flat. This took maybe 15 minutes so don't let it put you off, its worth it. Then I used a lighter to soften the edges (BUT BE CAREFUL, the plastic can catch fire if you hold the flame against it. Just hold it near it for a brief time so that it softens a little. This will make the mask a lot more comfortable if you're going to be wearing it for a while, in total that was 20 minutes of work. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but it's a great mask if you're trying to be Bane.
I have only two complaints, hence why a four out of five. I have seen this same mask sold within 4 dollars of what I paid that included the voice changer box, but mine did not come with it, so I would have to buy it separately and have it shipped separately, which is an annoyance. Secondly, they need to refine their painting process. This version has metal that is all in a gold/bronze color, which in my opinion looks better than the all silver version they had out before this one. But in all honesty, it would look better if they combined the two and had silver AND bronze, or a gunmetal gray and bronze. Perhaps bronze for the fittings and gunmetal for the tubing, with a combination of both for the side panelling instead of having all the metal be one color.
Secondly, it seems as though this was painted by hand with maybe one of those paint markers used for model cars/planes, as you can see the shape of the paint applicator in the paint strokes. there were a couple of spots where bronze paint was streaked on areas that were supposed to be black, including a slight partial fingerprint on the back side. I would suggest wearing latex gloves when applying the paint to try and avoid this in the future, and if smudging occurs, be kind enough to at least draw over it with a black fine tipped sharpy or something to cover them up.
Even after sitting in the open air for 2 days, it still smells really bad and obviously makes it near impossible to wear.
You know that cheap plastic smell when you go to a discount hardware store- the smell of made in china plastic and rubber- thats the smell.
Also the casting is one solid cast- no paces behind the mouth hoses and the mouth opening is set waayyy too far forward.
For a cheap halloween costume or a cosplay outfit where you are not worried about the look too much- this would be fine- but not anything beyond that.
Also make sure you receive it at least 2-3 weeks before you need to wear it to allow the smell to hopefully go away.
My only complaint is that it was very tight and the edges dug into my skin. But a true artist suffers for his art. The response was well worth the pain.
