Overall:
A great product for the money, when combined with an existing intermediate skill level with the basics of photography and some established experience with phone macro photography specifically. A meaningful upgrade from cheaper lenses, and a great compliment to more powerful lenses that lack the Xenvo's high image quality and increased depth-of-field. This will likely be my primary phone macro lens until I decide to shell out for a Moment, an Exolens, or a dedicated camera.
Pros:
- This is a meaningful upgrade to the "cheapo" introductory-level 3-in-1 kits you see all over Amazon, and even outcompetes Apexel's professional offering in the same price bracket.
- The wide aperture gives this lens a wider depth of field than I'm used to with clip-on lenses. Very good.
- Edge distortion is minimal most of the time, and often unnoticeable.
- Retains subject color and clarity.
- The 15x Macro is an improvement over the more-common 10x and 12x variants.
- The accessories are actually very useful; the light in particular has been a lifesaver when I needed a little extra brightness boost (though I do mean "a little"... it basically does the job but I'll probably upgrade, and soon).
Cons:
- The further-back working distance is hard to adjust to, even if you'd used clip-on lenses before.
- The lens is necessarily bulkier than a lot of clip-on macro lenses on the market. While this benefits image quality, it does mean that the product is a little unwieldy, and the subsequently hyper-robust phone clip covers on a noticeable-though-not-unforgivable chunk of the phone screen. Not a pleasant setup to carry around or maneuver... but still worlds better than a dedicated camera in this regard.
- The clip-on light doesn't hold a charge very long at all... it only stays at maximum brightness for a quarter-hour or so before beginning to significantly dim. This is unfortunate because I wanted to love this clip-on light and instead I merely like it.

Update: I am now giving this lens kit 5 stars. I emailed Xenvo Support regarding the lens caps and they responded quickly with information on cap thread sizes so I can purchase them and links to Amazon part numbers. . They are also forwarding my suggestion to the Internal Team for consideration (including the lens caps w the kit. Great customer service and response. I also added a macro of a tick. It was too small to get a good photo w the iPhone but with the macro I was able to get great detail of it for ID (Pacific Coast Tick)

This is a very nice addition to the iPhone arsenal. I have not used the wide-angle lens but have used the macro lens on some Very Small wildflowers with great results. While not professional quality the photos show amazing details of these small subjects. Focusing on the subject is easy-just move the phone w lens attached back and forth until the spot you want is focused where you want. The only issue I have is that the two lenses need lens caps to protect them when they are apart when you are using the macro. The wide-angle lens needs a cap for the back and the macro needs a cap for the front. I won't wear the macro on the lanyard without a cap for protection. For now I carry the macro in a small soft bag in my pack waist pocket but would love to use the lanyard...........Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 21, 2023

Value for money.. just did what it was meant for. Liked the macro and how the pictures turned out. Pls see attached for yourself. Wish there were individual covers, carrying the lens on pocket would leave lot of dust. It would have been perfect if the macro and wide lens had individual covers to keep it free of dust. Would definitely recommend who wants to try this lens for Macro photography!
