About the Author
Joy McMillan is a freelance graphic designer, writer & conference speaker who has found her home in the heart of Michigan where she obsessively drinks tea, redecorates her space, and enjoys life with her scrumptious hubby, two wee babes, and their 7 friendly chickens.
Joy and her hubby have been involved in leadership & marriage ministry for as long as they've been married (2003), and with one foot planted firmly in the law enforcement world (where thriving marriages appear to be a rarity), they feel a tremendous burden to champion and celebrate God’s plan for marriage.
Originally hailing from Southern Africa, Joy’s personal story of struggle and redemption fuel her passion to see women set free and living life to the hilt.
She shares her journey at Simply Bloom

It was an easy read, and funny.
I recommend this book to anyone who is dating, engaged, or married. I bought an extra copy to give to my sister who is getting married in a week!
Throughout my marriage I have often wondered what is wrong with me. Am I broken? This book helped me realize how very normal I am and that I am not alone. This read made me look inside my own marriage and see things differently. I often think about Joy’s words throughout my day.
