The "Pick-N-Pluck" foam 4equires some planning.
I made a few mistakes on the first one and used Elmers Spray Glue to "recover"..
Plan the layout carefully and results are great.
Durable, Light, and Portable. Best price is on Amazon.
The case is GREAT. The pick and pull foam is great for customizing the fit so that it works with whatever you need it to work with. The case itself is well made, seems sturdy, and looks great.
I don't think it would hold up really well to being tossed around in the cargo hold of a plane, so make sure you're carrying this on instead of checking it...but then again, at this price it's not really meant to protect your camera from the insanity of bag tossers at airports these days.
Overall, it's a great case for the price and you can't really go wrong with it.
These cases are meant to distribute impact points - that's all. And keep stuff organized.
Just don't throw this case out of an airplane and expect all your gear to survive.

The only problem is that the exterior black panels are not secured to the metal case edges except by pressure and the shape of the metal edges. So, if you put something in this case that pushes against the interior foam, it can push the black panels out of the groove they sit in, leaving a gap in the exterior of the case as the black panel partially slips outside the metal edge. That's what happened to me.
However, most people probably won't use something that large or, if they have something large, they'll buy a bigger case. For people who just use this case for smaller items, like mics, cameras, guitar pedals, small-to-medium instruments, etc., you'll have no problem and the case is a solid four-to-five stars.
Let me again say how cool the customizable interior foam is. It's basically hundreds of cubes of foam, about the size of small sugar cube, and you can just peel the cubes apart to customize the foam in three dimensions. That means you can make a microphone-shaped divot or a guitar-pedal-shaped divot or a camera-shaped divot, etc., all without the hassle of buying a case that is specifically made for your mic, pedal, or camera. The foam is securely enough attached that the divot stays intact, but not so connected that it's hard to customize the foam by removing cubes.
All in all, I recommend this case to others—as long as you don't put something big in it
lighting gear in this in the custom cut foam and everything fits nicely and looks professional.
The build quality is ample for storing and taking to the wedding sites. It's not something made
for shipping or being waterproof but that's not what I needed.
