Getting a replacement, but this PSU is a soldier for as long as it's lasted. It's gone through 2 PC builds since then.

I've had this PSU for over a year so it's had a decent bit of mileage put on it. All in all it works fine. The fan rarely spins which is normal, a PSU fan shouldn't be spinning if everything is working correctly anyway. However a few days ago mine shorted out on me. I don't want to say that it will happen to everyone, your mileage may vary but my computer just randomly shut off while I was using it. I was watching Netflix, wasn't playing a game or doing anything hardware intensive and it just shut off. I attempted to turn the computer back on and nothing happened. I saw some smoke coming out of the back of my case so I removed the side panel and smoke ended up billowing out of the case. I unplugged everything and waited a few minutes then took a look inside and there are burn marks all over the unit. I can only assume it short circuited since there is quite literally no other explanation, but luckily it doesn't seem to have taken any of my other components down with it except the motherboard which had it's PCI slot fried (GPU still works though). This unit is SUPPOSED to come with a warranty but after sending an email to the manufacturer I found out that my unit is in fact NOT covered under warranty. My motherboard is older and the warranty has already expired so I now have to pay out of pocket for another motherboard and a new power supply. Keep in mind, this was just my experience with it but I would double check your warranty status just to be sure. I gave it four stars because while it was working, it did what it was supposed to do and I never had a problem out of it. Had all the cables I needed, has all the cables needed for an SLI/Crossfire gaming rig, the cords are the appropriate length, maybe even a little too long for my liking. I'm taking away a star because of the unit dying on me, seemingly out of nowhere, and the lack of proper warranty support.

Great cheap power supply

I was a bit hesitant to buy this PSU because I had never heard of Sentey. I saw the 100 plus 5 star reviews and thought I would give it a shot. My old PSU had just given out on me and I was in need of a replacement. This Sentey PSU is great for those who need a PSU in a pinch, but don’t want to throw down a ton of money.

The PSU is inexpensive at $46.99 at the time of this writing it is one of the cheapest 725W power supplies you can buy. It comes with an instruction manual, four screws, and a power cable, which is nice considering it’s rock bottom price.

It fit in nicely into my Cooler Master Elite 120, which is a small-form-factor case. The PSU runs quietly and it feels sturdy. My system runs the same as it did with the previous power supply, so I haven’t seen any performance issues going to this Sentey PSU.

For those who were wondering the Sentey PSU here has a 75% efficiency rating. For me the efficiency rating doesn’t matter because this PSU was for a PC I rarely use, so it didn’t make a huge difference. You may want to go with something that is 80 Plus Bronze certified, especially if you are going to be using your PC heavily. A more efficient will save you some cash in the long run.

The connectors are decent on this PSU. The motherboard connectors are kind of cheap though. The 24 pin connector and 8 pin motherboard connectors don’t have clips to hold them together, which make plugging them in a little harder to plug in than other power supplies, but luckily once they’re in you won’t need to ever worry about plugging them in again, hopefully.

The rest of the connectors are great. I like the 6-pin connectors and hard drive connectors these are great quality connectors.

Now the thing that makes this a 5 star review for me is the price. It will be tough to find a 725W PSU for under $50. The connectors are decent and the efficiency rating is close to 80%, so it’s a steal and I am definitely glad I bought it.

I was relaxing on my couch with my wife one night when a lightning storm passed overhead. Being from Southern California I never had to worry about this or ever owned a power surge plug. Lo and behold the lights start to dim and eventually shut off entirely for a split second only to come back immediately. I could hear my fans in my computer spinning at an uncontrollable pace only to eventually hear a pop, see a flash only to be followed by smoke bellowing from my tower.

The feeling of disappointment encumbered me, all was lost.

I didn't know the first thing about changing out anything inside the computer. The most I knew was how to take off the sides and spray compressed air to shoot all the dust out.

I immediately went online to figure out what usually blows during a power surge and found that most commonly it was the power supply. So I quickly found whaich power supplies are compatable with my system (ATX) and ordered this immediately.

I watched multiple youtube videos on how to change a power supply as I wouldn't want to spend exorbitant amounts of money on a tech support individual.

I received the Sentey power supply and it looked great. All the cables and screws you would need for a power supply installation and it had a clean sleek look.

It slid effortlessly into the old power supplies previous abode and I connected all the necessary cables and immediately plugged it into my power surge protector outlet and nervously pressed the power button.

The tower fired right up and I was back in ultimate gaming bliss.

Thank you Sentey for producing an affordable power supply unit that works as intended and saving me from dropping a thousand dollars on a new computer.
