Grow Babies Grow!!!

I am an avid gardner and have been growing veggies for years. I sometimes have great crops and sometimes they are huge fails. So this year I decided to do some research on different products to add to my soil and try to improve my odds.

I have heard how great this Mycorrhizal powder is for the garden so I thought I would try it. It is supposed to enhance the root structure of the plants and be a beneficial fungi that plant love and thrive with. Having great soil is very important to the success of your garden and I have learned that to create great soil you must amend it with nutrients and fungi.

Can't report yet how well it works because I just transplanted seedlings but will be sure to update in a few weeks about the growth and health of my plants!!! Grow babies Grow!!!

UPDATE: OK this is about a month later and HOLY WOW!!!! My plants are huge and happy. Flowering like crazy and producing baby tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, melons, squash, peppers and more. I will never transplant or start seeds again with out this Amazing powder. I have been gardening for 10 years and and this is the Best my plants have ever been!!!
I posted two pictures below of my garden about 2 months after transplanting the seedlings that I started in the house during the winter with this Mykos powder.

Improved Overall Plant Systems

I have used Mykos for the past three year as it was highly recommended for healthy root development of plants by organic gardeners. My vegetable garden has become more productive than it has ever been in the past. I start my seeds indoors using a seed starting mixture in net pots (for air pruning the roots) instead or plastic cell containers. Once my seeds germinate, I moved them under grow lights which are just shop light fixtures with one red (warm white) and one blue (cool white) fluorescent bulbs to provide more light contained in the natural light spectrum of the sun. When my plants develop their first set of true leaves I began a weekly feeding of Neptune's Harvest fertilizer at a 50% strength as the seedlings were still tender. The plants are hardened off in a simple greenhouse. The soil is amended with Azomite and wormcastings. We sprinkle Mykos on the plant roots as they are placed in the ground. The Mykos helps to create a vast root system which allows the plant to absorb more moisture and nutrients from the soil. As a result, plans are healthier and able to produce a more abundant crop.

We have also planted over one hundred shrubs and trees using Mykos. With a healthy root system in place before the weather turns cold, our plants are better able to survive the bitterly cold Minnesota winters. We have experienced almost no winter loss after switching to this method. I am amazed at the growth my plants have experienced as a result and would highly recommend this method. We will definitely continue to use this product as we have experience the difference it has made in our plants.

This stuff works wonders. I highly recommend this product to any type of grower. Work into the soil of an established plant or to hole before transplanting, water it in with PURIFIED WATER and leave the rest to the Mykos. Just remember to only use PURIFIED WATER because tap water has anti-bacterial agents like chlorine and fluoride that will kill the beneficial microbes that Mykos would add to your plants. This product sells for around 25 on here but must Hydroponics/Grow stores sell it for $30+

I went through an entire bag in just a couple of months, not even using it all the time, just on the larger plants. Well, I probably used too much on some, but, in any case, I'm back to buy another so I'm ready for spring. Honestly, unless one does a controlled experiment, I don't know how much I can say it really works, but it certainly doesn't hurt and, for now, I'm going with the planting experts at Gardeners' World who use mycorrhizae. I can say that I transplanted a very well-established rose bush, approximately 10 years old, from what had become a shady, deer-inhabited corner, to another sunnier, protected spot in the early fall. I did not manage to get as much of the roots as I'd hoped to, yet, so far, so good, without even one single drooping leaf. For me, that alone was worth the price. Hopefully, the rose bush will continue to thrive when warm weather returns.

I read about this in a tomato growers blog and thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm very pleased with it, my plants are growing fast, healthy, and I have no rot or yellowing. I live in Florida where the humidity and rain can wreak havoc on tomatoes, but this seems to be really helping. I threw a cup in the hole before I planted, and its been great.

Worth the money

Yes, I have bigger, healthier plants with much less fertilizer. I have acid soil that I have balanced with gypsum. Lime was not as effective because I needed to add Calcium. I added the Mykos granules in rows and the tablets for the plants.I have much less transplant shock and faster growth. It doesn't make up for poor seed. It is worth the money if you also fix the other underlying issues that retard the plants.
