Cuts Fireline cleanly every time. No shredding, no fraying. Which makes it so much easier to thread those tiny beading needles. And it gets into tight areas, and cuts the thread as close to the beads as possible. No more frayed ends sticking out. It is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased this for one main purpose and that was to cut 550 paracord easily and cleanly with no little annoying frays showing or inner cords hanging past the cut. It is able to perform that task perfectly, smoothly, and effortlessly time after time after time.
I use this cutter whenever I am working with paracord and I don't use anything else now that I have it. No more pulling a knife and scaring whomever is around (some people are sensitive that way) and no more scissors.
This is sort of a specialty tool but since I use mine a lot it's worth the price in time savings alone. Are there other uses for this cutter? You bet, but so far, I haven't cut anything except paracord so I would n't be speaking from experience. PS ON other paracord sites where this tool is sold--- let's just say you needn't bother buying there because you've already found the best price.

This is a short review as I just can't find all that much to say about these cutters. That being said I purchased these cutters to trim the Kevlar away from the fiber optic cable openings. At first use these cutters worked marvelous! The spring action is not too strong and the cutting was sharp and precious. The handles have a nice feel in your hand as the shape is good for the average size human being! I thought that I had found the perfect product for my business. However after only a few used the shears lost their ability to trim the Kevlar and I have now regulated them to trimming easier tasks. To say the least I found them disappointing. I realize Kevlar is tough stuff and manufactures are challenged to produce a product that will handle this task. This is not one of them. So with that in mind due to the good spring action and feel I'll rate this 3 of 5 even though Kevlar isn't it's niche.

I absolutely love these cutters. Of course time will tell how long they last. I bought them to cut Fireline which is notorious for ruining scissors. They cut cleanly and the points can get in really close.

The only reason I gave them a 4 was they are always open as depicted in the picture, and with the blades as sharp as they are, I feel they constitute a hazard. They came packaged with a pieces of card stock folded over the tips. If the company offered something similar for permanent protection they would rate a 5+.

I've been using a lot of Fireline to make beaded necklaces (sorry fisherfolk!) and this cuts through that stuff like melted butter. They are easy to use, good grip width for an average hand and the tips are small enough to get into tight places.

I also use them to cut C-Lon cord for kumihimo braids. AND to cut through the finished braid. Again ... goes through it like a hot knife through butter leaving no frayed ends.

Yes, they're a bit on the pricey side. But if you value your time, your work AND your sanity, these are the cutters to buy.

These shears are fantastic for cutting Fireline when beading. They have nice precise tips, and allow you to make a clean snip on your line.

The tips are sharp, so I keep some knitting caps on each end when I'm not using them.

The handle also allows for a nice grip, and they are a really nicely made item that will last for years.

Cuts through Wildfire and Fireline cleanly and quickly. Finely tipped blades make it possible to nip between beads closely for an expert finish. One drawback, these clippers are ALWAYS in the open position, which is a ridiculous oversight on the part of Xuron. Something this dangerous should have a safety lock and should include a sheath for the blade end. That said, if you're looking for the right tool to get the right cut, unfrayed and perfect on your beading threads, this is the tool for it.

I love this cutter it really does a nice flush cut with any cords, Fireline thread or any other stringing material. This Xuron Fiber cutter with serrated edge is 5 3/4" long and fits in my hand very nicely. Very professionally well made and easy on the hands. Happy with these cutters:) :) :)
