5.0 out of 5 stars Ever see that movie downsizing with matt damon?
By Brian on September 16, 2019
I am a huge fan of MN3005 based delays. I own every incarnation of the DMM and 2 Xvive Memory Delays. The Echoman is less like a DMM and more like the Xvive Memory overall. Howard Davis the designer of the DMM worked with Xvive to design a MN3005 delay that addresses every short coming of the original DMM. The poor tone bypass is fixed, the poor input impedance is fixed, the filtering is improved to get 600ms from 2x MN3005's. The power requirements are better with a 9v charge pump onboard delivering 15v to the MN3005s. You only need a standard 9v adapter! It sounds very much like the xvive memory. The modulation is more akin to a DMM with only a chorus and vibrato type and depth knob though. The repeats are thicker and warmer than a DMM. Most people expecting the more percussive snap of a DMM, note the echoman has it's own character that sounds between a DMM and Boss DM-2. Which makes it super appealing. It only takes a
Up 2" in width on my board and one 9v tap on my CS12 power supply. What a world we are living in.

Now they need to get Howard back to do a electric mistress update with wet dry blend, filter footswitch and volume compensation using their MN3009 chips...

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, Authentic Memory Man Delay tones in an affordable and compact enclousure
By Alex Price on January 3, 2020
The Xvive Echoman absolutely nails classic Memory Man tones. The chorus and vibrato sounds are excellent and inspiring. The warm bucket brigade repeats are something every guitarist NEEDS have access to. The knobs, switch, and LED all seem to be of good quality. Most notably, the pedal is dead silent. It's kind of expected that a lot of these full-analog delay designs have a bit of noise to them but the Echoman is quiet.

Overall, the Xvive Echoman is an incredible pedal for the reasonable price they are asking. I'd put it up there with pedals in the $200 - $300 range. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Re-imaged classic designed by the man himself, Howard Davis
By Steven Taylor on July 6, 2020
For those that don't know, Howard Davis was the head designer at EHX back in the day when they released the now iconic Memory Man Deluxe delay pedal. That pedal set the bar for analog delays and especially their features. Howard designed this little guy to be a modern redesign of the beloved memory man, it even uses the reissue of the same mn3005 chip. Its a fantastic delay that does basically everything you'd want an analog delay to do.
