Product Description

Hopper

There are some adventures where we just want to grab our stuff and go. That’s where the Hopper comes in. It’s the first 100% leakproof portable cooler. We’ve engineered it the way we do everything — to keep ice for days and be tough as nails. So don’t call it a soft cooler — it’s anything but. The Hopper is loaded with features you won’t find on any other cooler and built to go the extra mile, whether that’s down a wild river in a kayak or on a floatplane trip to a remote salmon stream.

DryHide Shell The Hopper’s high-density fabric is waterproof and resistant to mildew, punctures, and abrasion. The liner is made from a FDAapproved food-grade material.

ColdCell Insulation Closed-cell foam offers far superior cold-holding to ordinary soft coolers.

HydroLok Zipper We borrowed from survival suits and hazmat protective gear to make the ultimate waterproof, airtight closure.

Tie-Down Points Six D-ring tie-down points give you multiple ways to secure the Hopper.

HitchPoint Grid Easily attach pretty much anything to your Hopper. Bottle openers, carabiners, or accessories like the YETI SideKick Gear Case.

Double-Stitched Carry Options With a detachable shoulder strap and three different sets of reinforced handles, you’ve got options on how to make the load easier to carry.

Love it! Yes it's difficult to slide your arm in initially. Supposed to take some break in time. I'm a landscaper and I'm tired of hot bottled water and diet coke. Prechill everything, as I always have done, two ice packs, and I'm good all day. Does the ice melt, yes it melts but it last a hell of a lot longer than any other SOFT SIDED COOLER I've ever used and the water stays cold and keeps everything cold into the next day easily. Really love this thing. Durable as all get out too. Bought the 20 because the 30 was a little too big for my daily routine. Nice job Yeti. Yes it's expensive, but on a day when it's 98 degrees in New Orleans, a heat index between 110- 115 and you're sweating bullets, you would kill someone or something for a cold bottle of water. I'll gladly pay $300 to still get brain freeze at 3-4 pm and not have to constantly stop at the store to buy their cold drinks instead of just toting my own with me. Should pay for itself in a yr or two.

Bought the YETI Hopper Two 20 for a cross country trip with my family. Our vehicle has limited space, and a traditional cooler is too bulky. I bought this because of it's flexibility and the fact that is advertises that it keeps ice cold for so long. We have used it on a few day trips, and it works really well. I wondered if I should have gotten a larger one, but for the size, it fits well in the backseat of my vehicle. For a family of four, it only keeps a few things cold, but it should be large enough for a few bottles of water plus various food items for the trip. Yeti is expensive, but it seems to be worth the price. I will update my review once we go on our cross country trip.

I was wasting my money on cheaper coolers. The quality of this cooler is through the roof. The zipper is massive and the straps are super strong. The bottom of the cooler on the inside and all around is water tight. The bottom of the cooler has the YETI logo indented on the bottom. I tested the cooler with a from bottle of water on a hot night over night with no air conditioning. When I woke up to get a drink from it in the morning, bottle was still frozen!!!! I had no other cooling variables in it like ice or ice packs... Just the bag, zipped up by my bed over night and stayed frozen and a really hot room. Super impressed and will buy more products from YETI.

I really like this cooler. It's very pricey, but I believe it's worth it and it's much larger than I expected. I like the care they took in sending it to me and that they had a warning sign not to use scissors when opening the box. I appreciate companies that think ahead like that. I also really appreciate the prior reviews that suggested you open this cooler like you would a change purse - squeezing in the sides to make for a wider opening to get your items in and out. Thank you!

For the price, I expected better engineering regarding access to the cooler. It appears to be an off the shelf zipper from a divers dry suit. I would recommend this product because it's performance at keeping drinks cold is great. Maybe YETI will engineer a better zipper.

When this arrived, it was much larger and more cumbersome than it appears in the photos. Appears to be well made. The zipper was difficult to use. When I decided to return it, was unpleasantly surprised to be charged shipping for the return. That has to be an Amazon first for me, and I am Prime member who shops often. Less likely to shop if I am going to get hit with return shipping.

I see lots of complaints, especially about the price vs value but let's be honest if your looking at a yeti you've got to expect a high end price. The bag is extremely durable and easily fits a days worth of beverages. I can leave it for 3 days and still have some ice left in the water but look it's a bag they did there best to insulate it but your using it for the convenience. If you want ice for a week use a real cooler, a heavy thick walled plastic cooler. It is completely waterproof as long as the zipper is all the way closed. I found sticking it in the freezer before use or even freezing a gallon of water and using that to bring the internal temp of the bag down before you load it up is also helpful. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this product specifically for a automotive trip I was taking over a three day period. I kept the cooler in a refrigerator for two days at 37 degrees prior to loading it. I put 2 frozen Yeti ice packs in the bottom of the cooler, loaded it with 8 bottles of water which were chilled to 37 degrees. I then packed in 4 frozen bottles of water into the spaces between the chilled bottles. Now I admit that this does not follow the product instructions for “two-to-one” ice to beverage loading but, if I did that there wouldn’t be hardly any room for beverage. The cooler never left the car interior for 56 hours where the ambient temperature was 72 degrees all but nighttime hours when it was high 70’s. It was only opened for 30 seconds at a time to remove two bottles of water. After 56 hours the frozen packs were all thawed and just cool. This cooler is no better than other coolers that cost 70% less. It is also much heavier and difficult to unzip the opening. A complete waste of money.
