Well this is just a regular standard version with a fancy aluminum case around it. But it's a pretty nice case. You'll have to pay close attention to insertion angles because there is nothing to guide the connector. But if you're using this, you're probably already with that concept as most of the stuff you usually plug your servo connectors into don't have much in the way of guides anyway.

I picked up the cheap version (thin plastic covering on all sides except the two ends) for $6 at my local hobby shop. But I wanted one that could stand up to the interior of my tool box so this one seemed like a good idea. The pins are recessed so I think it will do just fine. I'm using it to test the spinning direction of my motors on my mini quad builds, as I don't like having to go back and resolder them after programming the flight computer. It's proved very handy for that use. If you're using ESCs with no BEC you'll have to use a separate battery pack or the BEC you were going to use on your target device. I had one built into my Power Distribution Board so I just ran the main battery to that and then took the 5V off of it for the input on this tester. That worked just fine.

I was provided the "YKS Upgraded Multi Servo Tester 3CH ECS Consistency Speed Controler with Reverse Connection Protection" in exchange for my honest review.

The video speaks for itself. The short version: Buy this servo tester if you are in the market. High quality, great value. Haven't touched my other plastic ones since receiving this. Suggesting this tester to everyone I know.

I use servo testers all the time, when I received this one I was pleasantly surprised by the full metal enclosure and quality of the parts used in it. The buttons are nice the knob has very smooth operation. I use these to test motors and esc on my quadcopters and it works perfect. This is a good quality buy! This is not a cheap plastic tester!

As a very advanced RC hobbyist, I have bought and used many servo testers over the years. They are usually pretty cheap and simple to use. I was VERY excited to try this one because not only of the different modes, but the fact that it has three outputs. No more plugging/unplugging servo testers constantly to test multiple servos or ESCs. I am primarily a multicopter builder and this is a must in anyone's toolkit. It has really fine-grained and accurate manual control but I also appreciate the 'window-wiper' mode which alternates from the low end of the PWM scale to the higher end automatically. The fact that I can control more than one servo or ESC simultaneously is a godsend.

Most servo testers are simply a PCB board wrapped in some kind of cardboard or plastic and as such they are easily crushed or damaged when exposed to a typical workbench. This servo tester is enclosed in very high quality and durable aluminum (I believe, it's a very lightweight metal). This means it is an incredibly hearty and tough piece of equipment. It also features a very cool looking blue LED which is VERY bright, meaning you'll be able to see this on across a workshop if need be. (My picture of the light on does not do it justice!) With this I can toss my other testers aside as this seems to be the last servo tester I will ever need and it feels like it will last a very long time. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

I had a chance to try this server tester. Very nicely made. With three setting to the servo. I used the Servo tester to center my servos to get my control horns set to 90 degrees making my servo setup a breeze. I love this little thing. A+++

I've owned several models of servo alignment/testing/window wipers/ and neutral point setting - this one is by FAR built the BEST. I love it. Very durable and solid. I could also use my small ni cad pack to power it - even though I did buy the cheap AA battery pack also, it just saves money being able to use a rechargable pack versus disposable batteries. Anyway. 5 STARS. The price is incredible. Buy it now. You will not regret this purchase. I love it. Exceeded every expectation I had. I use mine on my heli cyclic servos 1520 ups, and today I'll be seeing if it works on my BK DS5001 Mini Tail Servo - not sure it will because on the packaging it says from 800-1550 or very close to that. But still very satisfied.

Great servor tester with all metal construction! The video shows me using the YKS servo tester on a quadcopter motor.

This servo tester I use with my quadcopter builds and it's an essential part in my builds. You can use this to test up to 3 servos at once and has a power port if you haven't connected the ones you need to test to a power source. I use this mainly for test motors before final assembly and it has save me a lot of time taking apart a finished build because of one bad motor or wired wrong ESC.

I love this little tester and it will last a very very long due to it's solid construction. Most others like this one have thin plastic shells and will break quite easily.

I HIGHLY recommend this servo tester to anyone build any type of RC.

Check out my YouTube channel (Forward Flight) for more on this tester and many other multirotors! Thanks!
