PRIMARY BALL PRIMARY BALL has the same weight as the red ball and is a little softer than the red ball, but with different elastic cords. The ball will bounce back a bit slower than the red ball. Suitable for beginners.	ADVANCED BALL ADVANCEO BALL weighs about 25 grams and is equipped with a white elastic cord. The rebound speed is a bit faster than the PRIMARY BALL. Suitable for training in the second stage of training.	PROFESSIONAL BALL The PROFESSIONAL BALL weighs about 35 grams, which is about the same as the rebound speed of the red ball. What should I do if the spare rope is worn out?

Don't worry, each YMX BOXING ball has holes in the center and can easily complete the replacement of the spare rope without the need for any tools.

Each ball is equipped with a dedicated spare rope to replace, doubling the life of the appliance.

I watched a man use this at a gym and was quite impressed with his technique. As an older man myself, I am interested in keeping my reflexes in good shape. After using it many times, though, my reflexes to bat the ball in and out have not noticeably improved at all. I'll continue to use it from time to time, but I really don't have faith in myself to get better at it. It's NOT the fault of the item, however. It's me!

Because of COVID-19, I’ve been stuck at home doing no-equipment bodyweight exercises to stay in shape. I needed some variety in my home workouts so I purchased the YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set. Since I’m a beginner, there’s no cardio benefit since I’m not moving around. Perhaps when I get more skilled, I’ll be able to move and hit the ball so there’s some cardio involved.

There seems to be hundreds of different boxing reflex ball sets on Amazon and eBay, but the YMX offered the most for the same price as the others. Amazon’s 10% off coupon made it an even better price than the others.

The YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set came with two beginner balls and two advance balls with cords attached to each ball; two headbands; four extra cords; and a small carrying bag. For the price that most other vendors charge, the YMX is two complete sets for the price of one.

I’ve only had the YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set for a few days, but in those few days, I’ve found myself using it more and more. With consistent use, I’ve improved so that I can hit (tap) the ball repeatedly for 10-15 seconds. The one important thing is to NOT hit the the ball hard. Instead, use a light tap. You also have to keep your eyes on the ball at all times. It’s also easier to punch down on the ball instead of at shoulder or chest level.

YouTube has many tutorial videos on using a boxing reflex ball. It looks easy on YouTube, but if you’re a new user, understand that there is a learning curve and you will struggle.

For the price and the enjoyment factor, I give the YMX Boxing Reflex Set my wholehearted endorsement.

===== SIX MONTH UPDATE & A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE ADIDAS KNUCKLE PROTECTION ====

I’ve been using the YMX Boxing Ultimate Reflex Ball for the past six months. I use it almost daily for 15 minutes. Although the ball is soft, the constant and repetitive impact of the ball on the knuckles makes the knuckles sore. A box glove is too bulky and a hand wrap is too time consuming. I tried using a leather work glove and it worked fine except the elastic cord would sometimes snag on the velcro wrist cinch. Another downside is that the leather work glove is not designed to be worn as a closed fist so my fingers would splay out and the elastic cord would get caught between my fingers.

The solution that I found is the “Adidas Knuckle Protection Sleeve / Warp”. I wasn’t sure about the one-size fits all sizing, but I wear a medium glove and the Adidas fits perfectly. The pad thickness is perfect. I can still feel the reflex boxing ball hitting my knuckles, but the padding keeps the knuckles from getting sore. The design of the Adidas Knuckle Protection also makes it easier and more comfortable to maintain a closed fist for a long period of time.

The “Adidas Knuckle Protection Sleeve / Warp” might not be suitable for punching a heavy bag, but if you need protection for light punching, this is perfect. The ease of putting it on and taking it off the hands is another advantage over boxing gloves and hand wraps.

Kids love this. Depending on age and understanding, it is a lot of fun when they will use them correctly. However, if the kids use them incorrectly expect them ruined. They are not fragile but kids are kids and if they twirl them and abuse them the elastic strings will snap. So, keep them safe and be thourough in your instructions.

As for training, they are fantastic for hand-eye coordination. However, bad habits can form with muscle memory as there is a lot of punching down to maintain control and safety instead of forward. If you uae this make sure to take time to train before and afterward correct technique to make up for using thia product.

This is fun and I do recommend this as a toy more so than a training tool. Though, there is some benefit. Just make sure to train well after using it. I recommend shadow boxing slowly and carefully.

1. The string is snappy as hell. Its gotten me many times near my eyes. It left a teeny whip mark across my nose. So I wear saftey goggles we had. 2. So far so good on durability. Its only been two weeks but I use it daily. It comes with extra strings if that becomes an issue. 3. Its so freaking fun. 4. It feels impossible at first but you are going to get amazing at it if yoi keep at it. 5. You look like ypur sparring a ghost and that is priceless for others to watch. 6. Its apparently not just for fun so Im reaping other rewards. But I just love how fun it is. I randomly walk around the house using it.

I'm enjoying this product as a training tool for hand eye coordination. So far it's durable and works great. I am still only using the yellow primary ball. There is definitely a learning curve to get the swing of it and I'm building on that. I believe it's already helping with my hand eye coordination. My son without notice threw a ball at my head that I saw coming at me out of the corner of my eye and I managed to catch it. I think it would have just smoked me in the head in the past lol. I use it as a cool down excerise after an intense workout.

Bought these when they were only £11, great fun, well made and in a lovely box, would make an ideal gift for around the ten to fifteen quid mark. You cant go wrong to be honest, four different levels of balls, some saw the elastic broke but i expect they smashed the hell out of it. I found the item to be of very good quality, does take some practice but once you get it its so much fun. I started using the back of my hands as larger service area then went on to using fists, give you a steady work out as well. There are so may of these on amazon but I am glad I got this one. Nothing wrong with it and at the price excellent value for money.

I like the concept of this item and having tried other brands I find this the best so far.
I have been boxing these balls for a while now and: Strings are still in one piece, not stretched. Balls are of different weight. So each person in my family can pick the weight to their liking.
The package even has 4 spare strings! I do say that these strings are consumables, means that they will go at a random time and needs to be replaced, so having a spare one is a great way to prolong this product, however neither of my strings have shown a single sign of being damage yet.
One can say that this is dangerous and strings can hit in the eye.
Yes, they do! :) But, same as any other boxing ball sold my any other brand. Wear goggles or cope with it
After all, if you buy a boxing gloves, that would be silly to leave a review that these are dangerous as they can hit you in the face :)
